![]() August 4, 2009 - 7:02am | With my currently running F2F group, who I just happen to play D&D with, I knew that neither of them would want to play the medic as we always have to have a sacrificial lamb who plays the cleric in D&D. So I run a Yazerian Priest archtype form the zine as an NPC. Kahn sur-Ock has martial arts, medical, and Psycho-social skill as the arch-type makes a logical pairing of all those skill into one character- in fact his Priest PSA is those 3 skills. Plus I figured that taking medical and psycho-social skills would plug holes in the party's skill set I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() July 6, 2009 - 5:57am | I was laying in bed thinking about a DS9 episode I hadn't seen in years: "House of Quark" where Quark accidently kills a drunken Klingon who stumbles and falls on him. Since no one wants to admit to such a ignoble death for a noble warrior Quark is credited with killing him in single combat and is forced to marry his widow. the rest of the episode is Quark the fish out of water trying to survive putting the dead Klingon's affairs in order- kind of predictable but entertaining none the less. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

![]() July 1, 2009 - 11:58am | I'm toying with an idea that occurred to me for gaming out drug use. (maybe it already exists) I was thinking along the lines of the S/T & S/D of diseases and toxins in the rules. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

![]() June 29, 2009 - 2:27pm | Its probably not that new: find a miniature (preferably from a broad line- to give you many choices) being manufactured now that looks like a cool alien and work up some statistics for it then use it in your game. For instance I found these:http: http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique_us/liste_produits.cfm?type=838&code_lg=lg_us&num=48&pag=2 on sale half price and picked them up to use as Gorlians from the SFzine (admittedly its just matching an existing race to a miniature) I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() June 25, 2009 - 11:55am | Admittedly Light Sabers probably are not even possible by the laws of physics and I have my doubts about sonic swords. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() June 21, 2009 - 7:03am | just call me the guy who sits around thinking up threads to start- but I do spend a lot of time thinking about the game! 1. Has anyone done much with the Tetrarchs? If so what? Besides the Zebs comments, a Polygon #9 article from Dave Cook tells us that "Laco, poor in resources, has only one feature of interest: a huge deserted Tetrarch city" and it seems PGC, at least after Laco's war is in charge of the excavation. http://www.starfrontiers.com/rules/Polyhedron/encounters.jpg I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
June 17, 2009 - 5:29pm | Man has communicated through low frequency radio, high frequency radio, ultra-high frequency radio, infrared and other spectrums. We have moved objects using magnetic and other energies. We have produced particle, energy, and light beams of all types. All these things have been demonstrated with various physical apparatuses and a certain amount of energy. The human body has limited capability to store and transmit static electricity among other types of subtle electrical impulses and even survives and is animated based upon just such impulses. June 16, 2009 - 5:39am | Refer to: SF:2KH "Liberation of Volturnus" . I finished uploading this into jedion357's Volturnus Revisited project. It's a KH adventure to wrap up the Volturnus series in two stages: one where the players participate with their own characters attempting to knock out Sathar transports before they can collect retreating shuttles from Volturnus' surface, the second part is a boardgame illustrating the epic "Battle of Zebulon" between the allied forces from Truane's Star and the Sathar Warships. |
