![]() August 30, 2009 - 8:35am | Recently created an NPC who, while a corporate EVP had a minor in horticulture and was a member of the Eden 2 Project. The Eden 2 Project was an organization whose purpose was to adapt life forms from earth to successfully thrive on other planets it was all tied into something to do with the NPC. However It got me thinking...dangerous I know. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() August 28, 2009 - 12:13am | I was combing back through the pages of the forum collecting up all the ideas I had blogged about for adventures or campaigns and even a few by others. The list represents about 10 different threads and about 13-15 good adventure ideas. And it occured to me that I really ought to get off my but and run an on line game. The problem is I've already given away a lot of plot twist for stuff I blogged about...sooooo I've come up with more ideas and more plot twist. And I'm considering, providing there is interest, in GMing So is there interest in a: I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() August 21, 2009 - 5:28am | The Hover Ski was originally conceived to be the hover equivalent of water skiing but towed by a hover cycle or hover craft but it works behind any vehicle. Its basically one cycle hoverfan with a gyro-stabilizer and a parabattery. most models have stowage for a tow rope. There is even one report of a ship wreck survivor staying afloat on one at sea (un-able to maneuver or move but kept him out of the water) till rescue arrived. Anyone want to sound in with ideas about cost and wt for this? or even some art work? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() August 11, 2009 - 9:09pm | Mission log, UPF Scout Frigate Pegasus on a deep scouting mission seeking to locate sathar controlled systems. Last week while probing system Xui 8957 we detected a sathar outpost. After a stealth recon flight I ordered its capture. As usual most sathar suicide to avoid capture but the computer core was taken in tact. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() August 11, 2009 - 1:36pm | Ruling Authority: Depending on the resolution of the modules it should be the Eorna though if the total TV ending of the cryo-egg ship is dropped the Eorna is essentially a dying race. A dying race is likely to be both very posessive and to take huge gambles with their "charge". If the PCs lose the battle but the battle fleet from Pale moves in then its very likely the system will become a protectorate or territory of Pale or the UPF. ![]() August 11, 2009 - 9:04am | Level 6 robot that has been accompanying/helping the party makes an interesting request. because he's pretty much on the level of an android he has some wants and desires: Robot 6 says, "Becuase the use of an organic brain in a cybot adds a level of creative and intuitive thinking I would like for all of you to sign organ donor cards, donating your brain to me should anything unfortunate happen to you. After all you wont need it any more and by incorporating it into my processors you will gain an measure of immortality, after a fassion." ![]() August 11, 2009 - 5:52am | In working on an article suggestion from Ascent I was checking for articles over at Treasure Tables and came on this suggestion: http://www.treasuretables.org/2007/07/cutscenes-one-simple-approach The basic idea is to use a cut scene in much the same way as a TV show or movie would. At an appropriate break in the action cut away from the main PCs and play out a "cut scene" with other characters. ![]() August 10, 2009 - 7:06am | I've been considering chopping the caverns section of Crash on Volturnus as i just dont see how it advances the story. Maybe its just meant to consume more equipment and supplies to get the PCs to a more desparate position so that the quick death is a real challenge. I had a player decide to not take chances with the quickdeath and drew his laser pistol dialled the SEU setting to max and with its ROF of 2 pretty much turned the whole Ul-mor manhood ceremony into a 1 round anti-climax so maybe the caverns before the quickdeath encounter is suppose to use up supplies of ammo?
