Looking for feed back on this (I have ideas of my own but being an idea whore......)

HOW would you create false/faked/ trumped up evidence against an NPC in game with the opportunity for the PCs to divine its true nature?

    A. There is always the cop out- reduce discovery to an ability roll. Roll against INT- "you realize the evidence is fake" - I consider the fall back of an ability roll a great mechanism to keep a game rolling but plot turning points should be more involved or exciting than that.

I'm sure this has been brought up already, but just in case, has anyone found that the Vrusk, Dralasites, and Yazirians (as well as all the alien PC races from Alternity) are in D20 Future?  I'm not sure I like that.  Regardless of who owns what rights to what property, I still feel as though a big part of Star Frontiers has been compromised.

I was looking at the Saurrians from Drgon 103, more than just a skim this time, and I was struck by the possibilities for this race. When I first skimmed the article I wasn't really in favor of mixing in another race for the sake of just having another race. but upon deeper scrutiny I think these guys are rife with opertunities for adventure.

Influenced by the KH:Vector design spreadsheet, but following more canon rules and simpler, yet another starship design spreadsheet.

Does use elements from Kveldulf 's ExpandedShip Design (for engine efficiency / ADF calculations),KH:INT (Rob), and Shadow Shacks house rules for additional systems.

AFAIK, Star Frontiers does not have a system of Player Character Level (Unlike D&D where everything has a level associated with it).

How do Ref's determine the party's overall damage and defensive strength?

I crafted a simple MS Excel 2003 ship-build system based off this article.
(Needs a little bit of work to add the reinforced hull option.)

    Refer to:

I'm so use to seeing the KH ship stats that when I built a HS 9 Scurvy Doog I was shocked to see all the goodies I could add. I'm going to be playing this ship against a few KH standard ships using the Tom's vector submission.

Space Navy science fiction that has everybody flying around in fighter planes has always annoyed me. Star Wars space battles are like the Pacific Ocean Theater of World War II. It's like re-fighting the battle of Midway over and over again. I would like to try something different.

Ok lads, here's a crazy one...

What would the ACTUAL Frontier muster of ALL armed ships in the Known Galaxy be?

After all, I would imagine that all vessels - corporate fleets, privateers, system ships, and possibly even pirates would fight the Sathar.

The motley group of ships would easily be double or triple the size of the UPF!

Now of course, for play balance, this would require at least the doubling of the Sathar Fleet.

Here is another gap that has annoyed me about SF...

How do probes work?  What kind of gadgets can you drop into an atmosphere to gauge the planet's characteristics?  Are they robots?  If so, what levels, etc?  How big are they and how much do they cost?
