November 19, 2009 - 11:44am | Okay, I am building a few ships (3D 1-1 scale that can be used as a map) and I have a few questions. I know I am over thinking alot of things but I want to use as much real world Science and engineering as possible along with a healthy dose of Science fiction. I've been reading the past forums and find a lot of it Enlightening. And that some share my view on some things. So I want to pick your brains on things. How thick should a hull be. From the inner walls to the outer skin. Gold is for the mistress-silver for the maid-copper for the craftsman cunning at his trade. But Iron-Cold Iron- is master of them all |
November 14, 2009 - 9:11pm | I was looking to add a little spice to generic cargo tables. Not much fun hauling around assorted ores, minerals, and ground cars. What sort of interesting items can you come up with? Let's start with the category of ROBOTICS: ACCESSORIES/ATTACHMENTS |
![]() November 12, 2009 - 12:03pm | Earlier this year in a PBP game I considered having my character get a shot of stim dose to justify his long active hours in game but discarded the idea as I thought the GM would disallow it saying, "Thats not how you use stim dose." It wasn't like it really was going to have an impact on the game as there didn't seem to be a penalty for not sleeping. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() November 11, 2009 - 11:27am | Post in as much detail as possible how you would change the scale of the KH board-game from 10,000 km hexes to another scale. The goal is to allow cinematic fighter combat (fighters zooming around larger ships). Or consider keeping the 10,000 km hexes and add special rules for fighters in the same hex as larger ships. Best post wins a prize! |
![]() November 4, 2009 - 3:53pm | Okay, here is the inital campaign background for the game this Friday. I'll post the exact scenario background later tonight (I just need to work out a couple of details).

![]() October 25, 2009 - 1:08pm | Here it is I was working on some adventure ideas for zine submission and I was stealing basic ideas from some classic Sci-fi movies. It seems if I was going to rip off classics then Forbidden planet should be in the mix. Yet I was just stymied as to what to do with its premise. So lets see if the community can come up with to flesh out the adventure. Forbidden Moon: The latest class of rescue scout is dispatched to rescue a stranded scientific expedition on an inhabitable moon. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() October 21, 2009 - 6:54am | Issue 13 is due out mid-November. Yay! Many answered the call for submissions. We just wanted to let you know that we have a repository of AWESOME SUBMISSIONS! Your submission will appear in a future issue, it just might not be in Issue 13. Publication Schedule is planned for every-other-month starting with September 2009. [end transmission] |
October 14, 2009 - 8:33pm | I "appropriated" this idea from the SF.org forum. It isn't an active topic over there but it sure is a decent one, so I'm ressurecting it here: What is your fondest SF memory? We used to have sleep-overs every weekend or two for the sake of RPG-ing until dawn. |
