![]() June 24, 2011 - 11:26am | You were travelling from Prengular to Lossend on a storage class ticket. You awake to a ship on emergency power and no other living being aboard. The power on all the storage bearths flailed and your quite lucky to have survived that with out a medical professional on hand, in fact you're the only one out of 15 that did. You feel like you've had more than a fifth of yazirian whiskey and been run over by 3 ground trucks. (-20 to abilities). I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() June 23, 2011 - 6:14pm | I've always got the timeline on my mind these days and was thinking about extending the setting into the future. But this thread discussion started with a comment by someone about claim jumping and I was thinking about the PGC as the heavy where it had explored and claimed a number of star systems but the idealist, the displaced and the dis-illusioned have all wandered out to this area and been living there. In walks the PGC with little appreciation for what it considers squaters. So I was thinking of situations where PGC would function best as a heavy I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() June 21, 2011 - 3:02pm | Devin, "I've planted a virus deep in Eve's core to go off 50 years after our departure." We have all heard of computer cores... but what are they exactly? What is considered "deep" in computer terms? Is this a human term to understand computers core processing commands? Like the boot operating system... |
![]() June 21, 2011 - 5:56am | This is a brainstorming thread so spout off what comes to mind I only have a vague idea yet for what I'd like to do with this, so as with any brainstorming session things could change radically with one person having a good idea. Talk about the Klikk and the tetrarchs got me thinking about races that overlap in time We have hard dates for the sathar being space faring 900PF and the klikk being space faring 600PF The heliopes are a client species (possibly slaves) of the klikk so they are also space faring @ 600PF I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

We discover a galactic community filled with multiple species of aliens, and the first thing we think about is "how can we have sex with them?".~ anymoose, somewhere on the net... so... if you square a square it becomes a cube... if you square a cube does it become an octoid? |
June 12, 2011 - 9:16am | I'm going to be starting a new SF gaming group & campaign here in NJ soon, and really don't want the newbs to begin with the Volturnus modules like most of us did. I'm thinking more of a dusty, out-of-the-way sort of small spaceport or moonbase that the PCs first meet each other at, then branch out from that point. I "could" use a small space station I already drew up for a different adventure, but not sure if that would work best for newbs. Any ideas? My SF website izz: http://ragnarr.webs.com |
![]() June 12, 2011 - 9:07am | RE: http://www.starfrontiers.us/node/5430#comment-19955 I'm working on a system of space ship combat that focuses less on whats happening on the Knight Hawks map but more on whats happening inside the ship and the individual PC contributions. To do this it requires detailed deck plans and a damage control schematic. It also means that little bits of collateral damage can have significant effects. ![]() June 11, 2011 - 4:29am | Imagine a star system, Not Earth, where humans believed they evolved though dissenting scientist theorize that this is not the case. Eventually these humans begin to master space travel spread out into the system. Time passes and they begin to reach the point of mastering FTL jump technology and weird things are happenning- ships mysteriously lost, prominent FTL scientist disappeared, and other thing the feed the conspiracy theorist mill. ![]() June 6, 2011 - 11:10pm | Campaign/ Adventure concept: PC's are hired to work for TIT & AS on Triad, Cassidine system. What is Triad Institute of Tech? think Smithsonian- Museum and research under one roof. Funded by grants from CDC, the UPF, PGC and etc....(needs a logo) Techs, pilot, astrogator, and some military skills needed. TIT & AS is currently small but the PC's mission will be to travel around the Frontier and obtain specimens for the museum. This of course leads to serialized adventures.
