![]() August 16, 2011 - 11:26am | Just like modern computers, tablets, smartphones, jedions, etc. some robots in the Frontier require AV software. After all, most are tied into some type of network. You wouldn't want a virus to infect the combat robots guarding the ship from enemy's, would you? |
![]() August 15, 2011 - 3:19pm | Ok the Dragon article "Flying boats...." was published and "Going for a Swim" will hit in 18 Also in issue 18 will be some material on two planets that have lots of water. So I thought a vehicles entry on some sailing ships/boats would be a good compliment. That said, I dont know jack squat about sail boats. I was hoping there were some members that could work up some sats and or rules on some fairly simple craft: A small 4-5 person craft, a cat or trimaran and a sloop. so that a referee could grab it out of the SFman and use it in an adventure. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() August 15, 2011 - 8:19am | Travelled several light seconds to partake of the attractions at King's Island over the weekend and it got me to thinking... what would a frontier amusement park be like?

![]() August 13, 2011 - 5:43pm | Sort of a pole thread to discuss what location we could use fleshed out in the setting. It can be as simple as a generic mono rail train common to multiple planets to as opulent as Malthar's pleasure palace on Dark World station over Outer Reach. though I suspect that generic/ multiple use locations might be best. ![]() August 2, 2011 - 4:17am | From area 13 of the pirate town on Volturnus there is 250,000 credits worth of these to ores. Wt and volume not specified. So what are they? Alloys? A new element to be added to the periodic table? I suppose they are metals. I'm just currious. What to you say? The name for tomarillium obviously comes from the designer/player/or writer who also gave his name for tomar's horses in the Volturnus modules. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
July 28, 2011 - 9:54pm | As full of illogical holes as the 1995 movie "Waterworld" was, I couldn't help but see its potential as a role-playing game. Digging Star Frontiers as I do, I decided to work on a playable hybrid of the two concepts. There are no spaceships in the game, no advanced weaponry or any alien races. But it does have waterborne vessels, a whole slew of improvised weaponry, and humans with mutations (the player characters). The game mechanics use Star Frontiers Alpha Dawn Expanded rules, minus any referrence to advanced weaponry and alien races. My SF website izz: http://ragnarr.webs.com |
