October 20, 2011 - 9:52pm | I created a card game. I know it has nothing to do with Star Frontiers (or with Science Fiction, for that matter), but I thought I'd share with you guys. If you're interested - try downloading the PDF instructions and giving them a read-through. The game is pretty lite and fun and family - friendly. But it has enough to it that it's fun for us who like to think tactically. You can read about it here: https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/dunjonworx 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our
vision, but when you're cool like us the sun shines all the time. |
October 19, 2011 - 7:56pm | After adding the Ul Mor to my SF website some time ago, it only made sense to me that I should eventually add the Edestekai, Kurabanda and possibly the Eorna. Hunting for pictures of the Edestekai, I could only find two; both black & whites from SF1 Crash on Volturnus. Neither gave me a complete standing subject to mess with on MS Paint. ![]() October 17, 2011 - 8:14pm | Recent small plane crash got me thinking: What's the UPF version of the FAA? Investigative style adventure possible here. Why did the ship/ shuttle crash? Has to be run differently as its not going to have combat as a common occurance. Run a few simple investigations then a big one that requires travel to a remote location and all sorts of complications, including combat. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

October 13, 2011 - 1:14am | Hi, I'm new here. Like I assume many of you, I have played, or at least looked into, a multitude of game systems. I picked up a new game that was good in concept, but had some problems that I emailed the designer about. I'm not sure how this site feels about plugging other work, so I will just sum up the concept with; "Humanity has no idea who is trying to exterminate them." I wound like to see what you all think about one Idea that might be applicable to Star Frontiers. On The Wings Of Life, By The Hands Of Hope. |
October 8, 2011 - 11:14pm | Work in Progress --- Still need to address the deck key |
![]() October 6, 2011 - 7:17pm | 1.At Faire, things are not as they seem. The characters are hired by a Ifshnit administrator to travel to an ancient burial grounds in order to win a contest of wits and reflexes... but on the way they realize it's all a trap. The S'sessu entertainer that went along with them is a spy working for the disgruntled military commander and under orders to keep the heroes from learning the truth! |
![]() October 3, 2011 - 5:52am | NOTE: I'm not a fan of the Shadow Run RPG, with its "organ Jacking" and other grittiness, and not sure if the races work for me either. I was just doing a review/edit of the GalactipediaNET article coming out in issue 17 for Larry and got thinking about adventures involving the NET in SF. If a character had a cerebral implant that let him "jack" into the net to access information with his brain or if he had an organic computer (thank you dragon mag) in his head; What would that level of play look like? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() October 3, 2011 - 4:34am | The other day, while discussing art with an artist I summed up the Star Frontiers enemy races as: worms, flies and spiders for the Sathar, Zurraquor, and Klikk. One wonders if that was intentional. You could collectiving call them bugs. They practically designed to trigger feelings of revulsion in people. So if we were on the committee for developing a new game, what trio could we come up with that could match the Star Frontiers trio? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
