Thanks to Jaxon uploading so much to the magazine stand I was curious to see if his uploads were from the old Dragon archive which lacked the original art but they are scans of the original material with art.

By chance i clicked on the Day of the Juggernaut and started asking questions about the interesting ship pictured in the header of the article.

    Hi SFers,

I'm an old gamer that started playing SF back in the early 80s. I haven't played much SF since then, though I've "recycled" the modules to use with a number of other game systems.

I'm going to be prepping soon to run an SF campaign in January for some younger guys, that were never exposed to it. It'll be some light, fun, beer-n-pretzels gaming, as a break from some of our more "serious" gaming.

Two ideas I've been mulling about and wanted to see what y'all think of it as well.

What follows this post is something I've written as a kind of intelligence report about Sathar weapons and how their physiology has affected their design. I've chopped it up into chunks, for ease of use. Please bear in mind that it's just my take on things and some blue-sky thinking. I am working on some drawings to go with this, but for the time being they are just sketches...

Lab Grown meat has been show to be possible in the real world and its been a minor sci fi element in fiction and games. I'm proposing we develop a beef vat tech for the frontier and for ag ships. Not sure we want to keep the name beef vat though it does have a certain ring to it. It you have ideas on this or examples of this concept from fiction or games please post.

I have been bopping around in the various resources and forum threads and I have a few Qs about Truane's Star Government and Culture.

Q1) OC IX: is it in the same system as Pale and New Pale?

Q2) What is the logic behind it being illegal and punishable by death to celebrate Springfest and Winterfest?

I think I read some place that people see the government as Fascist?

I've toyed with various ideas for long term voyage with KHs ships. One idea was a rip off of the Battle Star Galactica storyline- satharmeggedon has hit the frontier and a big ship for space Fleet is leading a rag tag fleet on a desperate journey. Most civilian ships will have ion engines and if one is a mining ship with an ore processing plant then it can mine ice bodies for more fuel. If there are 1 or more ag ships present and you exercise the save 10% of the harvest to replant with option then you'd have a continual food source.

I fell down one of the internet's Rabbit Hole again... and stumbled across "Radioglyphs" and various pulse code languages for communication with E. T. N.  (Extra-Terristrial Neighbors) and this got me thinking. As a hook Radioglyphs could be fun. I honestly do think for game purposes a Ref would not need to learn a code or one of the languages (unless you are slightly addled like me and enjoy torturing yourself with reading, and analysising various lectures) because based on my shallow crash course findings you could go a couple ways for game play...

Hey all. Sorry in advance for this wall of text! :)

I've recently been watching a show produced by Joss Whedon called 'Dollhouse' and I'm rather intrigued by the concept. To that end I plan to fashion it into a Star Frontiers scenario that would encompass many lesser scenarios that could potentially lead to a lengthy campaign. I thought that my efforts might be useful to the community so I'll post here for anyone that wants to use the outline/concept.

For those who are not aware of the show, I'll sum it up. Be warned, spoilers to follow.
I don't have to outrun that nasty beast my friend...I just have to outrun you! Wink
