October 25, 2010 - 12:11pm | Because the question was asked, I will post two of the races that exist in my Star frontier's campaign and I'll try my best to transfer their attribute bonuses and special abilities to Classic Star frontier's equivalents. It should be noted that most of the alien races in my campaign are humanoid in form, because over the years it became apparent, that my players gravitated towards playing humanoids because it was easier for them to identify with a character who's physical limitations (due to their body type) they could identify with. October 25, 2010 - 10:34am | A while back, before I discovered this incredible site, I was forced to do the unthinkable, recreate my Star Frontiers homebrew system to a variant of the D20 rules that I had created for my own D&D game because being an old school RPGer I hated that WOTC had made miniatures so much a part of D&D and both myself and my gaming group detest miniatures, because in our oppinion they take away from the fun of visualizing a great adventure. October 24, 2010 - 7:18pm | This is the Timeline I had developed for my Star Frontier's campaign, a while back, and after making a few corrections I thought you guys might find it interesting. This campaign has been ongoing for about 25 years, though at present I decided to retcon it, since I had created a new version of my houserules (long story there). Certain things are absent (Like the Sathar wars) because in the new campaign they have not happened yet. so here goes. The following section is a list of major events in the history of the Frontier. "Hey guys I wonder what this does"-Famous last words "Hey guys, I think it's friendly." -Famous last words "You go on ahead, I'll catch up." -Famous last words "Did you here that?" -Famous last words |
![]() October 3, 2010 - 5:35pm | The Jedion was looking to discuss archaeology, mysteries and Star Frontiers your favorite archaeological mystery from Earth and Sol System, Ideas for crafting a archaeological and or Lost Whatever themed adventure for SF, or anything that ties into the above parameters is on topic. Here's some web sites for inspiration: http://meta-religion.com/Archaeology/Other/10_mysteries_archaoelogy.htm http://www.unmuseum.org/odd.htm http://sudanwatch.blogspot.com/2009/07/sudanese-photographer-vit-hassan-meroe.html I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() October 2, 2010 - 7:08pm | I can't find any information on this race. It's like staring me in the face but does not compute! Please clue me in! ![]() |
![]() September 29, 2010 - 7:44pm | Zebs timeline details 3 Dramune Wars, none of which seemed to last longer than 1 year The climax of Dramune Run details events that would qualify as on of these wars So the question is, which historic event is detailed in the module #1, #2 or #3? I'm about to delve into the module for details but thought I'd try to stir up discussion on this. My first thought is that Drumune Run the module makes more sense if there had already been at least 1 Dramune War prior to the events in the module. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
September 26, 2010 - 11:08am | Everybody likes a good dropship, but nobody likes a good dropship more than ol' Captain Rags. Need to get your mission team down to a planetary surface in a hurry? Expecting a wee bit of resistance upon arrival? Well then, stuff your stuff in the new XL-25 "CHOPSHIP", and speed your PCs on their way to their ultimate screaming demise... I mean, their glorious cheering victory! My SF website izz: http://ragnarr.webs.com |
September 12, 2010 - 3:37pm | Yep, I've finally lost my mind I fear. Was up waaaaaay too late last night working on new races to incorporate into my campaign, and conjured up THIS one: DROWlasites! Sort of an anti-Dralasite player or non-player character. If you go to my SF site, then to the 'new alien races' link, I think you'll agree that my Happy Meal is missing the toy and perhaps a few of the fries too. ![]() My SF website izz: http://ragnarr.webs.com |
September 7, 2010 - 8:54pm | Looking over the races of Star Frontiers I found one of the most important (to me anyway) was also one of the least covered. I am speaking of the only know allies of the Sathar, the Zuraqqor. Since they are in the shortest module with one of the shortest race write ups I felt some expansion was due to them. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
September 2, 2010 - 12:33pm | I do not recall any rules or guidance about how long it takes a character to heal. Nor do I recall anything detailing how long it takes to do the skills minor surgery and major surgery. I imagine that the races each heal at a different rate but probably close enough to say it is the same. How long does -iggy |
