I had fun of running a Star Frontiers game at a gameday last weekend. For a one-shot 4 hour adventure, I adapted the first half of the Star Wars Saga mod Dawn of Defiance. It turned out quite well, and we all had a great time.

I changed the background so that the PC's were Star Law agents infiltrating an orbiting station above Outer Reach to ferret out some information about a pending terrorist attack on Inner Reach.

I was watching the documentary on the B29 frozen in time (it landed in the artic and the crew were rescued after 3 days) a test pilot who had flown U2s and SR71s wanted to fix it and fly it out (being one of only a handful of B29s left it would have been extremely valuable.

That got me thinking about hundreds of aircraft parked in the desert and I ask myself would not the UPF have the save thing? During a war there is a build up and extra hulls put into service but after the war they amount to too many to maintain and operate on a peace time budget.

The reason I'll asking the below questions deals with something else in the works but I dont want to clutter this thread with that topic but anyhow:

In the original materials we were told details about the planets of the Frontier ie: the gravity of the planet and length of day

What I was wondering for those of you up on astronomy and such what other details could be deduced from these facts? Sort of like math if x + y= z then what does knowing the gravity about a planet tell us about its density and diameter?

The Star Frontiersman announcement list has been created!

We plan on using the list to announce new issues, ask for submissions/artwork and keep readers informed. Another goal is to broaden the reader and submitter base. If you have suggestions how the list can be used or comments please write to Submissions@starfrontiersman.com

Whether you're for or against Zebulon's material this thread is not a Zebs debate

It is merely a brain storm session to draw out ideas on issues relating to the plague systems and the MSO.

Simple question here. How Big is the Galaxy? In real life our own Milky Way is about 100,000 light years across

What sort of Tech or weapons/ defenses have you guys added in. I toyed with some stuff from Palladium before; Specifically Robotech. It was ok but I threw out the Reflex Cannon I thought it would be totaly unfair.
While the Robotech ships had more weapons and such... they were outranged by anything in Knighthawks.

Where did they come from? They misjumped in one of those ever infamous Spacefolding misadventures of thiers.
They came from the Far arm of the Galaxy and and had no way to return, they were out of fuel for the spacefold drive.

Inspired by the Magnificent 7 (a great flick) not the Battle Beyond the Stars with John Boy Walton which was a poor rip off.

Calvera and the other mercenaries swooped down on the farming settlement riding their hovercycles and explorers. Some fired weapons into the air others whooped and hollered. At the center of the settlement they circled repeatedly stirring up dust before halting before the pyramid like temple. Some of the mercs brought out a few sacks of grain and two cactus whimpers and tossed them on the ground before Calvera.

Whether an adventurer is skirting the edge of the law or famous for discovering new cultures or defeating a Sathar horde, advertisers might be clamouring to get the characters' endorsements. This would be a great way for them to earn some cash during their travel between the stars. For the days and weeks of travel, they could be making product endorsements and sending them via subspace.

You Know they're there but they dont show on the map

I was contemplating writing a spiffy little article on the missing jump routes that are not on the map but have to be there. But then I thought, "With the convoluted ammount of game material out there I better start a thread  and get everyone's contributions lest I miss one- (how does that guy shadow always find something I miss, he must have tri-vidographic memory)
