After some discussion of how much tech is floating around the Frontier I decided to draw some!

Trevor Zandis reports form Albert IX (UPF light-cruiser) Xagyg Dust Nebula

    Trevor via subspace radio, "Call-sign trev774xx12alpha to Frontier Network News....found alien tech....unknown origin....sending images....end"

Before there were atomics and ions, there was nuclears. :-)

    Bill's been looking around for parts to build MegaCorp at home and came across this;

    Spaceships!
I know the son unit would love to use these to play (insert various space ship combat games)! I can see using them for fighters and divide them up into each faction by color. :-)

Following the awesomeness that was Issue #18 I'd like to submit my own game for #19 (that is if Karxan thinks there is room. :-))

It's well known to anyone who's spent time around a dral,  they'll do almost anything for a laugh. Can you tell me what the dral below has done for a good 'ole human laugh dating back to pioneer times?

I wonder how Alex Stone delt with dral exposure for the months he spent watching debates. :-)

I don't remember seeing an actual announcement in the forums (just getting the PM about the new project) but we've got a play-by-post game starting up that AZ_Gamer is running in the CSS William Logan project.

We need a few more crew members so if you're interested in playing, join the project and sign on.  Right now we've got myself, OnceFarOff, and Ronin84 as players.  Come join the fun.

The conversation in another thread got me thinking about this one

what does the news media look like in the Frontier

Certainly not newspapers as we remember them though an outpost or light population world might just have a local newspaper that gets circulated.

Medium and High population worlds will be more modern and futuristic in how news is disseminated.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Would Logan's Run, both the novel and the movie well I guess even
the TV mini-series too, would it make a great setting for SFs?

The "world" has all the elements of SFs; blasters of sorts, robots
not so future like but like the ones in SFs. Computers, vehicals,
money/credits everything is all pretty much in line with Logan's Run.

Ok no real aliens, but maybe this is a planet the PCs come across
and like every episode of origional Trek they stick their noses in
and make an adventure of or mess it up.
Cogito ergo sum; I think therefore I am.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die.

I really am not a fan of how Zeb's guide handled the plague worlds. I think the UPF would have worked to help those people once the Blue Plague was under control.

That said, I do like the idea of a place that's so dangerous, that it is placed off limits. It would open up some really cool adventure opportunities:

    1. A Zombie Apocolypse? Perhaps a settled world with a highly infectious outbreak...

    2. Riddick - Pitch Black - an alien so dangerous that it wiped out every attempt at colonization

    3. ?
