    Hey gang,

Tomorrow at 10:00 EDT I will be running my Star Frontiers adventure I designed for Origins Game Fair this year.  I will post results in this thread so everyone can see how it goes.

Frankly, I did not get as much time as I had hoped to develope this.  There may be a bit seat of the pants GMing going on, but I think it will work out.

    More info tomorrow!
    Thanks,
    Duncan

I was going to post this in the Core Four project but I though my initial question would get a better response in the wider audience of the site then to just poll the membership of that project.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

I've been working on a mass and volume based starship construction system and have a first draft available for people to look at and review.  It is posted in the Knight Hawks 2.0 project but a link to the forum topic there discussing it is provided below.

If you're interested in spaceship construction come check it out and consider joining the project.

Sometimes you see a picture and it grabs you and you think, "Wow, that would make a great adventure/setting location!"

Sadly I don't always hold onto those pictures and a couple of months latter I left wonder what tha picture was.

So this is a little thread for Location Inspiration whether in picture form or simply described in words because you've had it in your head for awhile.

I uploaded the following to my photobucket account after finding it on my facebook wall.

A few YouTube videos are out there discussing the "dangers of high-tech civilizations", and are worth a listen for some "Sathar Plot" ideas... many of the issues that create dangers simply can not be easily regulated and policed by the same industrial base that requires the risks to keep the level of technology available...
Oh humans!! Innocent We discover a galactic community filled with multiple species of aliens, and the first thing we think about is "how can we have sex with them?".

Anniversary of the Titanic disaster as well as the recent Italian cruise ship disaster got me thinking about an adventure seed that I wrote on a passenger liner called Titan being struck by fragments of a comet and basically being a SF adventure of the Titanic. So I did a bunch of searches and couldn't find it. Till I notice that searches for comet and titan were both turning up the 1000's of Sathar Agents thread: http://www.starfrontiers.us/node/3660 at any rate rather then resurrect the old thread I thought I'd simply dust of the Titan sections of that discussion. 1.

Since postings have been slim this week thought I would post something that has always had me wondering.
In The Dramune Run adventure we are introduced The Malthar who is described as:

    He is impossibly large for a Dralasite;

the disgusting bulk of his flesh droops in globs over the arms of his chair.

A tall glass of brown liquid rests on the table beside him. He reaches for the glass with fingers

Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

Prengular system has not indigeonous militia but obivously banks on the fact that Space Fleet has a major base and fleet here. Add to that the fact that Star Law is headquartered here and its mandate is to interdict sathar agents and interplanetary criminals, and smugglers certainly qualify as interplanetary criminals.

    Hey :)

I was thinking about non-ship defensive platforms that could be used as a cheap and quickly-built substitute for starship weapons platforms. These things could be used to guard mining operations or to bolster a planet's defensive capabilities.

So first thing to ask is: Are these things already in 'official' use in the SF universe? I don't recall seeing anything in any past SFMan articles and I don't recall ever having read about them in any of the cannon Knight Hawks material.
I don't have to outrun that nasty beast my friend...I just have to outrun you! Wink
