June 18, 2008 - 1:33pm | I have been thinking about the Star Frontiers setting. One of the things that is missing are maps of the planets. It would be nice to see what they look like. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
June 13, 2008 - 11:51am | re: http://starfrontiers.us/node/1907 First off...apologies to all players for not being able to continue this. I'd like to kick it back in gear, although two of the original four players have dropped out of the site (one during play and another during my hiatus). Up for grabs would be the vrusk K'likit ( http://starfrontiers.us/node/798 ) and the dralasite Gloob ( http://starfrontiers.us/node/1790 ). |
![]() June 12, 2008 - 10:24am | So, some of the talk recently speaks of waning support. I propose that rather than trying to inject more 'new' material, we go back to what was the biggest influence for the little revival... The Core Rulebooks (AD/KH). Bill had a great idea when he remastered the rules, and I say we do it all again... especially since I believe he lost his original files, and only the remastered pdfs are remaining. <insert witty comment here> |
June 10, 2008 - 9:51am | I was reading the KH rules. Trying to re learn it so I can play with my son. It has been a long time. It mentions side A and side B. How do you decide which is side A and B? And who gets initiative? Maybe I'm missing it in the rules. Thanks for the help. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
![]() June 8, 2008 - 7:21am | Once again another great topic has spawned from a thought provoking dicussion in another thread. This thread will dicuss the subject of starships (especially large hull size vessels) landing on planets and inter-atmospheric flight. Please include any house rule examples or discuss possible rule systems for a possible submission as a Frontiersman article. This topic is related to the perviously active KH topics of ADF and Perpendicular Deck Configurations but deserves its own consideration as well. |
![]() June 2, 2008 - 1:26am | I always recognized, and most of the time used, the original KH concept of starship decks being perpendicular to the ships axis but never gave it a lot of serious thought. From an earlier discussion in another topic's explanation about ADF using hard science examples, this placement of decks makes a lot of sense. However, I would like to try and reconcile this if possible with the common sci-fi media concept which often uses a horizontal to axis deck arrangement much like that of modern millitary naval craft. I hope the community can help me out with some thought provoking discussion here. |

Just for fun I decided to start writing a blog about Star Frontiers
goings on. Acutally I started back in January but really didn't get
going. I've picked it back up and if anyone is interested they can find
it at http://starfrontiers.blogspot.com Ad Astra Per Ardua! My blog - Expanding Frontier Webmaster - The Star Frontiers Network & this site Founding Editor - The Frontier Explorer Magazine Managing Editor - The Star Frontiersman Magazine |
![]() May 29, 2008 - 8:16am | Can someone explain to me how a ship a ship can have the same acceleration and deceleration without turning around? Do they use powerful attitude thrusters or something? Curosity killed the dralasite. ;-) |
May 28, 2008 - 7:34am | Have you guys used radiated areas in your games? How do you handle the effects? I haven't found anything in the rules about it. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
May 27, 2008 - 11:40am | One of the players in my game has been playing a Boon'sheh. We have been having fun with this race. I was wondering if there is any other official canon on this race? Or is Goblinardo planning any further source material on them ? At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
