I've read a lot of comments on here which mention Babylon 5.

I don't know how many people here are aware of this, but JMS played Star Frontiers.  He was (and presumably still is) a gamer.  He ran a hybrid Spelljammer / Star Frontiers campaign, and pieces of it made it into his show.

The series is peppered with obvious references and "inspirations" from Star Frontiers.

This has a very cool interactive tool. Great for showing your kids.

Planet Hunters is a collaboration between Yale University and the Zooniverse. The lightcurves provided on the site are from the publicly released data obtained by NASA's Kepler mission.

Found the link on Planet w/ 4 Suns.

No marines in my family but I like marines, a buddy at seminary was a marine- one of the sweetest, nicest guys I ever met- taught me some cool stuff they did with ropes in the corp when I was first getting into rock climbing and rappelling- things that usually freaked out "professional" rock climbers but after I investigated them and the science and safety factors behind them I was confident doing. But I ramble...

It's a death match no one should miss!
    w00t vs Larry Elmore

    Saturday

    SATURDAY

    SATURDAY

I'm sitting down with Mr. Elmore this weekend. I have some boxed sets I'd like signed in addition to getting that interview for the 30th Anniversary I promised. I have a few extra SF material, if you liked something signed then I can exchange a signed copy for your copy. Most of my stuff is well-used, I can't promise you a better copy, FYI.

It has long been possible to make a gun at home. But what happens when it no longer takes knowledge and skill to build one?

I haven't heard anybody mention them, so I thought I'd ask.  Does anyone use the "Choose Your Own Adventure" style Star Frontiers books as reference material?

I only have two of them:

    Villains of Volturnus
    Star Rangers and the Spy

Some of TSR's kid books suck pretty badly, but these two are actually consistent with canon material, and are loaded with information on the Frontier.
