Folks, I'd love any feedback that you're willing to provide about my story that accompanied the latest issue of the SFman.

Wife was looking for an arguement, work told me to go home because there wasn't enough to do so naturally i went to the movies on Sunday and watch Zero Dark Thirty. In the movie when the special forces were storming the compound they put two rounds into everyone they shot after the fact. That fact has been sitting at the back of my mind all week and shadow shack snapping the neck of the goon we just took down on the Serena Dawn got me really thinking about it. We dont really have this convention in rpgs because in part a lot of game mechanics are are open and visible to the players.

I remember watching Abbott and Costello on Saturday mornings as a kid. Never did I ever image I'd ever be a part of an Abbott and Costello skit.

I had a delivery to a medical research building with higher security then most hospitals. Been there before during the day but its 5:45pm and wonder of wonders the loading dock is unlocked but no dock master on duty. I back the van in and unload my cart and start in the direction that my vague memory says the elevator is.

This time last year I was on the level of drawing that was a little bit above stick figures and stymied that I could not beg borrow or steal enough art for my needs in fan magazine publishing. Over 2012 I threw myself into drawing and ressurrected 25 year old skills that had been lost hopefully 2013 will be a year of even better improvement.

I always thought that cursed magic items that I first encountered playing Basic D&D were fairly lame.

    cursed sword -1 and etc

but why not make the cursed item something that a player might want to hold onto and use like the One Ring in LotRs; who would not want an Invisibility ring?

Skip the lousy -1 and give a cursed item a valuable ability but also give it a goal like the one ring- a desire to do something, find someone, etc and for a curse something like evil creatures of a specific type constantly drawn to it or something else.

Caught pieces of Breakheart Pass (1975) and thought there was material there for a SF adventure but I'm catching pieces of Demolition Man (1993) and dont think there is much there for using despite the Sci-fi theme

I guess the western is a better fit for SF then the sci-fi dark topia flick

    funny how that is.

This could prove to be interesting.
I'm sure you could convince them to publish starfrontiers articles.

Its Friday night and normally we have girl scouts which is a couple bucks dues and a bus ride. But if no girl scouts we like to go to the Childrens Museum for $1 Fridays after 5 pm which is $3 plus a bus and subway ride. WELL discover the dinosaurs came to the wold trade center boston and the web site said $12 admission 41 total for the three of us but it didn't stop there. I've droped a C note and had to draw the line at face painting. Wow that wacked my wallet.
