![]() June 22, 2013 - 3:38am | Note: This a tongue and cheek effort on my part. With all of the truly 'alien' - as in, 'beyond human' - races Star Frontiers fans try for, I thought, why no add a classic for S&G?![]() Zasoomians Average Size: 1.7 m tall Average Mass: 76 kg (male); 48 kg (female) Average Lifespan: 1,130+ years Reproduction: Heterosexual, ovoviviparous |
![]() June 19, 2013 - 8:37am | Its almost a cliche of fantasy gaming but I've not heard it used much in sci fi gaming. Sure the Dramune Run module opens with it but in all my SF setting activity I've encountered it almost not at all. In a fantasy genre its alway there to explain why this particular group of adventurers got together because it seems I guess that it would be unusual for a theif, and elf, a fighter, a magic user and a cleric to be hanging together. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
June 11, 2013 - 11:36am | I discovered the GUMSHOE gaming system this week. While its very different from SF I thought you might be interested on the mystery/problem solving system. Plus the cover of Ashen Star is cool ! June 9, 2013 - 4:45am | Since I tend to compare alot of SF to the Civil War here's another one As we all know many parts of SF and KH were to put it mildly simplified to make it better suited for younger gamers. This is why we have identical ships for both sides, which at first may seem unrealistic. During American Civil War both sides were using the same ships and same weapons. So we are covered here. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
![]() June 6, 2013 - 3:53pm | By the book dralasites see in black and white thought their sense of smell compensates by the book dralasites on Inner Reach dye their skin with washable dyes to reflect their mood for the day. really? a color blind being uses color to reflect mood? forgive me if this topic has been discussed before but it just hit me. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() June 2, 2013 - 5:22am | working on developing some setting fluff here- we know that Zebulon had a governor appointed by the UPF from the Zebs guide timeline and I speculated that another comment in the time line could be interpreted as Rhianna having an governor: http://www.starfrontiers.us/node/7527 so why does the UPF establish a territory and appoint a governor? one reason is that there are primitive sapient species present and the altruistically motivated COW wants to prevent their exploitation. Other reasons are possible: strategic and etc. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() May 30, 2013 - 6:56am | I was reading the star mist module today because I forgot to account for in when I took over the PBP classic module campaign and low and behold availabe to the PCs in the cargo hold of the VSS Last Leggs is a star ship engineer's laser power torch with a 300 SEU power clip (which just happens to be 10the shot of that tool/weapon at max power of 30 SEU per shot. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() May 18, 2013 - 3:07am | Hydrostasis, the mechanism by which the sathar propels and controls their bodies is rather similar to how the dralasite's propel and contol their bodies. There are cannon similarities between the klikk and the vrust and the plethora of primitive ape men running around all could be testimony to the tetrarchs experimenting and perfecting biological designs. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() May 16, 2013 - 6:19pm | My idea for this is to merge all three energy types to only have Disruptor Batteries and Cannons in the game. It never made sense to me that Electron and Proton Batteries are basically the same type of weapon, but with a slightly better range (and bulk) for one of them. |
