Hhmm.. The Dec of Independ. says we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Obama just announced that the minimum wage should be raised because people who work full time should not live in poverty. That actually sounded like he was making it a right. Its interesting that there is a qualification on that: working full time but what if you company doesn't let you work full time and you average 32-35 hours? And there are a lot of reasons for poverty and raising the minimum wage will not fix.

Thought I'd post over here seeing that bilygote is a huge fan and contributor of Star Frontiers. His stories have brought the Frontier alive and now he is bringing Keranak to life Smile

Soon I will be ritired and looking for something to do. The thought hit me to look into home 3D Printers and making miniatures.
I have done a small amount of research online and am finding out there is still much to learn before I can settle on one.

Does anyone have one? or at least played around with one?
I was looking at extruded plastic to make the items and would like to know how much detail can be put into a creation.
Time flies when your having rum.

Im a government employee, I dont goof-off. I constructively abuse my time.

Just caught a trailer for Pompeii the movie, it featured scenes that hinted that the main characters were a white guy and a white girl (take three guesses who's going to get the girl) and the white guy seems to have a big black friend. And a light went off: its the AD box cover a hero, his "dark" companion, and a girl. Its a simple recipe of 1 part action, 1 part adventure, with a garnish of romance

Its rather cliche in that you see the same thing with Han Solo, Chewie and Leia

We've had a couple threads lately that put in my mind the need to have a free open source translation of the Star Frontiers rules. Animux's website sounds like it would a cool resource to have around but it doesn't seem like the rights holders are willing to do more than they've already done.

    1. If the enemy is in range, so are you.
    2. Incoming fire has the right of way.
    3. Don't look conspicuous, it draws fire.
    4. There is always a way, and it usually doesn't work.
    5. The problem with the easy way out is that it has already been mined.
    6. Try to look unimportant, they may be low on ammo.
    7. Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs that are dangerous.
    8. The enemy invariably attacks on two occasions:
      1. when you're ready for them.
      2. when you're not ready for them.

Permanently shadowed craters near Mercury's north pole have been discovered to contain ice, carbon and organics presumed to have been deposited by comets or meteors.
