June 24, 2014 - 5:23am | I have two daughters, 8 & 12. They naturally love Disney princess movies, Barbie and Tinkerbell videos. They also get on kicks where they will watch the same move over and over. Disney movies arnt so bad by Barbie, Tinkerbell and Harry Potter are starting to wear on me. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

 June 17, 2014 - 8:34pm | As I had to disconnect from Satellite to save $, I have no TV except DVD, so I have been watching the old sci-fi collection along with other stuff... and today's Movie was The War of The Planets (an Italian film) and it reminded me of a few other films when they showed future romance; as Sleeper and Demolition Man also had the same basic device; what I call "the Luv Ball" I thought this might be a subject worth exploring. "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |

June 2, 2014 - 4:24am | Picked up a milk crate and a banana case full of Dragon magazines dating back to the 80's for $10 at a yard sale yesterday-seeing as how I constantly fantasize about picking up some real "gems" of RPG material at a yard sale being sold by the mother or wife of a gamer I kind of had to drop the $10- i figure if I sell 10 of them for a dollar on ebay i'll make my money back. Anyhow Dragon #157 had "The Dungeon Alone" by Tom Little discussed the problems involved in running a single player through a dungeon and how to overcome them. Here goes: How does a Human tell the difference between two dralasites? He writes on them with a permanent marker. How does a Yazirian tell the difference between two dralasites? He beats one up and keeps it bruised. How does a Vrusk tell the difference between two dralasites? He asks them their names. May 24, 2014 - 3:42am | The Isle of Dread module. I've heard it referred to as the Dreaded Isle of Dread in the context that it was a crappy module. I actually DM and played it and as i remember it we had fun, about as much as we had with most D&D modules back in the early '80s. I suspect I would run it different today. Its pre- Hickman Revolution so its not so much story driven and yet the is a lot of material there to run a good story.
