![]() April 2, 2014 - 5:35pm | Reading David Weber's "A Rising Thunder" In it the Star Empire gave a non discretionary order for all of its civilian ships to leave Solarian League space as a state of war was around the corner. One merchant captain was pleading with a navy captain to let him complete his contracted run lest there be an accusation of piracy for him just sailing off with the cargo in his hold. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() April 2, 2014 - 1:27pm | So did anyone else get the email that drivethrurpg.com and rpgnow.com are combining into drivethrunow.com? Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
![]() March 31, 2014 - 2:14pm | I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make it to Gary Con, so I didn't register for any events. After visiting the vendor area, I searched around for an empty seat to join a game. To my delight, I saw a table with several Star Frontiers rulebooks laying on it, along with empty seats. I ended up getting to play a nice Star Frontiers scenerio. |
![]() March 30, 2014 - 2:21pm | Just curious if anyone has seen deck plans for the Palomino or the Cygnus from Disney's Black Hole? The Cygnus is pretty much analogous a star destroyer but the Palomino would make a good ship for SF. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() March 30, 2014 - 6:51am | My youngest has been pestering me to buy the DVD of the latest Hobbit movie (Desolation of Smaug) which is not actually out till 4/8. So I had been at Target investigating when it was coming out and looking at what they had movies to pick one up for a movie night. I picked up Real Steal and one of the Harry Potter movies that we didn't have. The kids watch Harry Potter over and over so I figured that I'd just get Real Steal for my interest. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() March 28, 2014 - 7:47pm | If you're into the Bible at all, I dont recommend it. In fact I dont recommend taking children to see it. That said I thought it was a decent enough action movie with some drama and interesting character studies but on the whole it was crap for telling the story of Noah. In some ways it pandered to the new age angels watching over us crowd who had been diminishing for years but will likely make a come back now. The writer(s) really missed the point of certain things in the story of Noah. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() March 23, 2014 - 5:10pm | I judge this by movies that I've actually sat and watched multiple times, own the DVD or I'm willing to watch again if I was channel surfing and it was on. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() March 20, 2014 - 1:33pm | Since no one else mentioned it guess I will start. Caught the premere of "The 100" and seeing how it could apply to SF. Obviously you could go with a group returning to one of the quarantined planets and the things they find there. On the show I am gonna give it a chance. Of course huge plot holes have already come to light. Not Star Wars sized but still not a great sign. SPOILERS Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
March 18, 2014 - 1:04am | The family and I went to ComicCon this past weekend, and had a great time!
