I left Auburn, Me in 1989 and havent been back much except for visits. Spending the summer with my father and working as a temp fill in driver for Chinese restaurant and one of the waitresses is related to a police detective that I had some dealings with when I was young and stupid. She assures me he's no angel and that he's retired to Florida. (I'm sure there is a story there but I wont bother to ask). Made me think "small world" . what would be the setting equiv of "small frontier"?

Does any one have good PDF's of the old Modules, I am working on converting GW creatures from various sources... I would like to be able to include critters not in the original rules but in the modules in this rather large project of self torture.

I am also working (oh so slowly but none the less working) on some D&D space sci-fi based critters for conversion.

Anything people would really like a SF version of from GW?

Been kind of busy and hadn't chosen a summer reading list this year. However I came across "HP Lovecraft Great Tales of Horror" for $6. I've never read any Lovecraft and figured I might as well if for no other reason than to read his "Call of Cthulu" story.

I have played Star Frontiers for a very long time, and it is probably my favorite science fiction game, but when I was young I played several other science fiction games as well, and I still have most of those books.  Occasionally I manage to throw together some other kind of game, but normally when I have free gaming time these days, it goes towards Star Frontiers.

Here are some of the other science fiction games that I played back in the day:

    Traveller
    Other Suns
    Universe
    Space Opera
    Space Master (1st & 2nd ed)
    GURPS

I was looking for some old school future weapon images on the net, and I found this crazy meme/weapon... Foot in mouth Little flying chainsaws of death!

I read a recommendation for these two shows on line but can't run down the original post so I apologize if its around here somewhere and I'm being obtuse. At any rate I've now managed to see 2 episodes of each and i'm very much in agreement with the original post that either one would be good campaign ideas for SF. Dark Matter involves a crew of a ship waking up without any memories and secrets galore emerging over time.

Naturally the new owner of Star Wars is cashing in on its property and I let them take my money for the kids to build their own lightsabers and for 6 of these photo experiences, my stepson looks good as mace wendu

Or more specifically, I had a dream last night and I have clearly been doing too much working on my Star Frontiers project (the results of which will appear here eventually).
