![]() January 7, 2016 - 10:19pm | Recently I wrapped up work on my first go at a 3 part series comic book (unrelated to SF) and found myself pondering what new project I should undertake. I've toyed with some Star Frontiers storylines in the past but I've yet to really fall in love with any of them. Obviously using the Star Frontiers IP means there would never be any commercial value. It would purely be a project to continue refining my skills and have fun building a story out of one of my favorite, classic RPGs. That said brings me to the point of this post: Does anyone have any story ideas they feel like sharing? |
![]() January 7, 2016 - 12:31am | We all knew that it was a thrown together game that really wasn't intended to stand up to mathematical scruitiny, but it wasn't until I started my "rebuild the rules" project that I got a solid grasp of just how bad the situation was. |
![]() January 6, 2016 - 9:15am | Some areas of Port Loren could stand a little development. Throwing it out there as a challenge to anyone feeling the itch to try their hand. Mapping challenge: as simple as mapping an expansion of the Map in similar colors and style as the Port Loren map or doing done internal floor plans of some key buildings or even isolated area of Port Loren since it is a huge mega city in my estimation. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() January 5, 2016 - 11:34am | I'm curious what the reasons for a game to stagnate and fall apart and what can be done to solve the problem? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() December 24, 2015 - 6:06pm | Apparently hail can pick up sand and create some weird conditions. The following might be some ideas for a different sort of experience for PCs... and when everyone says that's impossible you got youtube proof. ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpkDsnsk30o Sea Like conditions "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |

![]() December 20, 2015 - 10:15am | Okay I am doing some kitchen cabinet cleaning & organizing today... I have already discovered if the end of civilization occurs I think I have a years supply of instant potatoes. So I put a bad free movie on to keep me entertained while I try and organize the kitchen... Rise of the Animals (do not pay for this one, I found it free on Amazon Prime). "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |
![]() December 19, 2015 - 8:32pm | Okay bopping around looking at stuff and I found some great photos of abandoned places but this is perhaps one that just screams Adventure Hook... PC's are exploring and find this! A ship incased in granite rock seems like a great mystery hook to me. ![]() "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |
![]() December 19, 2015 - 2:06am | If you haven't seen the movie yet and missed the blurb in the title: SPOILER ALERT!!! |
![]() December 17, 2015 - 8:11pm | I'm gong to try to not spoil anything but I highly recommend any Star Wars fans not wait to see Force Awakens and go see it right away before the internet blows up over this movie. In fact you should probably unplug from social media till you see it and probably call in sick tomorrow and go see it. There are some momentous things afoot and best you go see it than have them spoiled. Abrams produced a fitting sequel to episode 4, introduced new characters, integrated old characters and produced an action movie that paid homage to the original. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
