found the above on deviant art and it looks like a possibility for locomotive plant, not perhaps aggressively dangerous like say a losso dragon but something that could populate an ecosystem with hundreds of varietys and a few specials: One that is potentially dangerous causing damage to characters in the classic sense, one that is poisonous, one that is medicinal and etc.

able to move at slow speed to seek new resources then it sets down its leg/roots

most likely a type of fungus or something similar.

    This bugs me a lot:

Bad CPR portrayed on screen, namely bent arms that dont accomplish anything in the way of chest compressions, it just bugs me even thought my CPR certification is out of date. i think the reason that this happens is that for reasons to deal with filming they like the "victim" on a gurney and then the life saver must do CPR without being able to keep his arms straight.

I became the owner of 7 seasons of TNG on DVD recently and noticed something. Season 2 Riker was posted to a Klingon vessel in an intergalactic officer exchange. On the Klingon vessel Riker learns "A Klingon is his work not his family." Which flies in the face of the Worf son of Mog story line of latter TNG where Worf is struggling under the presumed shame that his father was a traitor.

Anyone else ever notice "Zebulon's Guide level" of story inconsistency in trek?

Does anyone have a scan of page 4 from Trouble on Janus? I realized when I started working on Janus I am missing page 4.

I know the module is not SF enough, so I am tweaking it... the Traveller problems removed, the planet Janus could make a great setting. Hostile Jungle life forms, hidden riches, pirates, a controlling company (which has a plantation system complete with a native population to exploit), tribal issues, a major cash crop, and locals who don't care if you live or die.

This guy was in my Top 5 ever favorite actors. I loved his horror movies. I'll truly miss him.

What level of skill should a frontier citizen have to be called a doctor?

For example I'm messing around with the Cassidine Jones and the Raiders of Volturnus idea and casting the PCs in the "Indiana Jones" roll who is famously called Dr. Jones" throughout the franchise.

With PCs getting a free level 2 science skill to start plus 2 more first level skills it doesn't seem right to accord them the title of Doctor.

I loved the Mad Max series but I'm not sure any more.

First of all with this franchise each movie was a different story. Not normal for an action adventure franchise. Most successful movies more or less rehash the first movie in the sequel with a replay of the same gags and jokes that got laughs the first time. Even in the recent Star Trek movies JJ Abrams repeated what he called the hero moment in both movies with the Enterprise coming up out of the clouds though both times had completely different set ups.

Would it be possible for an adventure to contain a situation where the PCs must cooperate with the sathar?
