A bit of news from MSN.

The venerable Dungeons & Dragons tabletop role-playing game is partnering with Curse to build a next-generation web application. The platform, called D&D Beyond, was unveiled last week during PAX East in Boston. The team has announced that it will enter open beta on Monday. Sign ups are now open.

If I do run a new Star Frontiers campaign, I intend to use Google Hangouts (via webcam / mic), rather than a TT online service like D20.

I found that I like using Hangouts more, it feeling more like a true TT/RPG session than D20.

If any are interested I will start putting up details for the campaign up on either Google + or on the Star Frontiers FB page, likely both.

Decided to bring along Knight Hawks for visitation with the kids but it was almost a bust because I forgot the rule books in Maine. (My kids reside in another state so I travel for visitation). We downloaded the KHs quick reference to my phone and one of their laptops and proceded.

Its my opinion that the vaunted Assault Scout is a poorly designed craft for some of its primary uses.

found this at STrolen's Citadel and thought it would work with some adjustment for entering a Tetrarch pyramid.

I've explored this idea in the past. Items that are analogous to magic items but for Star Frontiers.

    Drugs/medicine/injectables for potions

Illegal or quasi legal computer programs for scrolls

    Master crafted weapons

    Artifacts are certainly possible

The underlying idea is that these items should be special, not readily available and would function as treasure.

EDIT Maybe I should have named this thread Cursed Items

Tom Stephen's article "How Many Ships Are There?" in Frontier Explorer 10 calculated that the SCC's on the Frontier could maintain somewhere between 1200-1700 shuttles, system ships, and starships across the Frontier, with 1500 being a likely number.

This broke down evenly as ~87-88 ships per system or ~67 per planet.

I've been thinking about this a little differently and thought I would share what I've been thinking.

Frontier worlds are graded on population scale of Outpost, Light, Moderate, or Heavy.
