Corjay has a great project started called Adventure Generator. I used that code to work on this
Refer to: Generate A System (a document page from the Random Planet-System Generator project).
and would like some input. Too little info? Need more detail? More stuff? Help! :-D

    Thanks in advance!

Go to the bottom of this page to see the Random System Generator output.

To save space on some of my research ships I was thinking of adding grapples and mounts on both atomo shuttle craft and other space only craft. What are your thoughts about the following:

    Atmosphere capable shuttles
    - Cost of the mounts + adjoining airlocks (need them on the shuttle and main ship)

    Non-atmo shuttles
    - Cost of the mounts + adjoining airlocks (need them on the shuttle and main ship)

What min / max requirements should there be?

    It...has started.
The Sathar have jumped into the Fromeltar and Kizk'-Kar corridors. Engines squealing under the tremendous pressure to slow the ships down for attack.

As the UPF risks jumps some of it's fleet...will it arrive in time to save the Frontier?

    Second Sathar War

"General SsFar, you have only one order", speaks Admiral Gergmaster. "Kill."

Why do Race Ability Scores Modifiers have to equal a balance of 0 when creating characters?
(except Humans, I think they get a +5 to any one ability match)

    I noticed that if a race has a +5 to say STR/STA they get a -5 to say....uhm... PER/LDR.
You could call them offsets as well.

Take the new race Weren for example:

I've been looking over the introduced species from Alternity, namely the Weren, and I like them. I like the fact they're big furry buggers who are passionate, and wear their hearts on their sleeves. I like that they are ferocious beasties who can rival chewie in a 'tussle'. What puzzles me is their reluctance to use more sophisticated weaponry than a black powdered musket. If these guys go to war, they're going to become extinct real soon. Imagine the following:

    Ok punks...

Who would like to play a game of Knight Hawks - PBEM?

This is the boardgame in the Knight Hawk game set.  The rules are as stated, with one house rule (so far)

    Well, two house rules...

The Risk Jumping needs to be always in there (see below).  And I would like to play with Advanced rules, no skills at all times.  Or maybe with skills at all times.  We can discuss that.   I just don't want to play with the basic rules - changing the records and stuff would be a pain.

Hey folks! Long time lurker, former member of SFDT (my old account info was FUBAR, so I have reincarnated as the Ancient Clikk)...

I'm just...ASTONISHED...at all the amazing goodness in this place. It is almost overwhelming. The magazine is phenomenal, and everyone is so into this old game. Love it!

Anyhoo...I'll throw this topic out for discussion...anyone know what the heck a Gorlian is? Anyone have a write-up? If not, let's get to work...

Hey, hope you'll forgive me for the pseudo-spam.

You may remember me, roymeo/Roy Crisman, I ran the Star Frontiers listserv @iastate.edu for several years.

I've finally resolved to get this stuff out of the house.  Here's all the rulebooks, accessories, and modules, many of them shrinkwrapped.  Also including the SciCon `99 conbook, AND the Letter from TSR that I received that gave me permission to create a CD-ROM compendium of all the official and fan-created materials back when I ran the StarFrontiers listserv in the 90's.

I brought this up in the Dreadnoughts discussion, but rather than go off on a tangent there I'll post it here. The Basic boardgame explains that a ship with multiple rocket batteries can only fire one in a combat turn, while any/all laser batteries can be fired inthe same turn.

I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out
