November 1, 2007 - 7:37pm | This is a summary of the most recent game I ran. (Last sunday.) Heres a link to the previous sessions if your interested. Or you can find them also posted in my blog amongst my other brain droppings. Which there is a link to in my signature. Bootleggers Run You can turn your back on a person, but never turn your back on a drug, especially when its waving a razor sharp hunting knife in your eye. |
![]() November 1, 2007 - 5:09pm | For those who don't know, the 25th Anniversary Edition Rulebook (AER) contains conversions for all the Column shift Mechanics to and from the mechanic, so you can play using the original resolution mechanic or the Zeb's mechanic, no matter what it is you want to do. The book is still in progress. But it will only focus on the Alpha Dawn, Knight Hawks, and Zeb's rulebooks with material from old TSR magazine articles and modules to round it out. Feel free to add your ideas and opinions to the AER forum. |

![]() October 25, 2007 - 11:21am | This thread has been transformed. It is now for discussing Nevada politics and decisions and whatever else. If you still wish to discuss Delta Dawn, Mecha, or invasions, here's a list of new threads I made in the Delta Dawn forum to continue the discussion: Assault Walkers (Mecha) Squadron and Fleet Construction Tracking Fleets on a Planet Tracking Fleets in Space Invasion Actions |
October 24, 2007 - 8:09am | It has been brought to my attention that the Star Frontiers 2000 project should have a new banner or logo. The default is "boring." Since I have no talent for that kind of thing, I am asking for assistance from YOU!! 1. Design a logo, post it here no later than November 15. 2. Community voting for a favorite by November 30. 3. Recognition and a prize to the most popular. Time flies when your having rum. Im a government employee, I dont goof-off. I constructively abuse my time. |
![]() October 21, 2007 - 1:58pm | Just got back from a business trip and was watching Space: Above and Beyond while travelling - man, what a great show! I'm mining it for ideas for SF... the feel of the technology is very similar and I LOVE the spacefighter dogfighting... they tend to liken it to WW1 dogfighting, which is really cool... -Andrew |
![]() October 17, 2007 - 11:43pm | I don't think the problem is Zeb's. As I've demonstrated with the AER
(Anniversary Edition), there's very little difference between Zeb's and
Alpha Dawn. What Zeb's did was bundle Kimber's Dragon Magazine articles
with Alpha Dawn and provide the Column Shift mechanic, individualized
skills, an extended Timeline, and 4 new races (granted, badly done
races). Though the skills were multiplied, the skills mechanic has more
freedom, so I don't really see it as compounding the problem. A little

October 15, 2007 - 6:34pm | Okay, here's an idea. A d100 table with one hundred results... that's right, one hundred posts (not counting any discussions!!) Let's make them all different - cliche is fine and fun, but let's try not to be too silly. I'll do the first one... it's basically ripped from a character from a novel/movie. Maybe it can make a good collaborative article for the StarFrontiersman project: 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our
vision, but when you're cool like us the sun shines all the time. |
