Was reviewing and editing my article on Scree Fron, which is a review and extrapolation of all the cannon material on Scree Fron. What got me jazed was the part about a Ravenloft like adventure set at a yazirian monastery on Histran where an evil Mechanon and a sathar co-conspirator have invaded the monastery turned the monks into slave bots. The sathar might have brought along some other stuff- the fruit of sathar bio-engineering whether classic stuff or the 10 altared frontier creatures from the back of Sundown on Starmist- most of which funciton as traps.

What follows is an offshoot of some other stories I am working on for Frontier Explorer Magazine -- such as the vehicle construction rules and ground vehicle combat rules.

This stuff seems like it is extensive enough that it needs a separate forum topic and hence a separate story.

I've been out of action for the last three weeks due to illness, so hopefully I will now be more on track with various things.

OK, Star Frontiers isn't gifted with a history of movie and Hollywood nods but it did happen for the alert eye in 1984's Cloak and Dagger movie.  Thirty minutes into the movie Davey visits the Game Keeper for a second time and there is a display of D&D books in the background with one Star Frontiers module in the mix.

So where else has anyone seen a movie make reference to Star Frontiers?

Under the category of why not?

Why? Well, I've been working on my "Things that go boom!" series for the magazine, relying on older stories from Star Frontiersman and Dragon magazine. To do this, I've been mining material -- and enhancing it -- from a much larger Word document where I was trying to pull together all sorts of different Star Frontiers combat mechanics that were published in Alpha Dawn, Dragon, Polyhedron, Star Frontiersman, Frontier Explorer and even Zebs.

“The first stone-throwing engines used in Europe and the Near East were adaptedfrom earlier arrow shooting machines. The gastraphetes, or katpeltikon, which was invented around the start of the fourth century BC, is typically judged to have been the earliest of these arrow-shooters. It was little more than a composite bow mounted on a wooden stock and operated by a mechanized draw and release. This defensive

    The Dralasite Strong Being
This archetype is more of a character background for a starting character that is about to become an adventuring character simply because the strong man archetype doesn’t lend itself to an exciting RPG adventure. However, a strong tough character than can fight can always find a job as an enforcer in the Frontier. Thus, this archetype is presented not as a career but as a background.

Found this on DA and its pretty cool, it appeals to me as a Dominion that believes that if the humans of the Frontier would side with the degenerate aliens of the frontier against the Terran dominion then they too have degenerated

Imagine a setting where Admiral Morgaine is a hero and viewed as the father of the UPF having birthed the Frontier's government with his own life. So revereed they renamed a planet in his honor. A legend and icon. Martyr of the Great Sathar War (no one calls is SW1 until there is a second one)

Presumed dead when his ship blew up.

Or is he? What if he made it to an escape pod and that pod was picked up by the sathar? What if he's been held by the worms all this time?

I have crazy busy or crazy ill. Quarantine sucked, I couldn't handle light so couldn't read, use the iPad or watch tv. No it was not Covid but a completely different deadly highly contagious virus I caught from one of the children I transported to and from school... yeah me, I am now back to work but still our county is in quarantine so I was doing security, now doing custodial services. We started massive terrain builds and painting of minis for D&D at my house. Next I need to start painting Scifi stuff.
