was thinking of this picture and inspired by it for an illustration
(I've actually seen the WIP version of how he put it together)

got me thinking of a group of SF characters surronded by and being swarmed by Sathar.

If you think about it the sathar are possibly a good fit for swarm attacks from a game desing or referee perspective: they are never presented with a lot of equipment.

The Janzoon class after William Janzoon the first European to set foot on Australia

Kit Carson because he was so bad arsed and Carson class has a ring to it.

de Lagree Class after Earnst Doudart de Lagree the French explorer to seriously explorer the Mekong River
A ship name for this class of ship could be the Mekong.

original idea was in the Warriors of White Light Re-enlisted thread

    http://www.starfrontiers.us/node/7826

Thought I'd develope this rather simple idea a little

    Taking Out the Trash

"I didn't mean to say your ship should be hauling garbage. I meant to say it should be hauled away as garbage." -Korvax a Yazirian mercenary enforcer

Watching a documentary talking about letters of mark and how smaller countries couldn't make war on Spain DIRECTLY, thus used letters of mark.

Frontier angel: Dramune- inner reach awarding letters of mark because it cannot attack outer reach directly.

PCs receive such a letter, and pick up a surplus former military assault scout from Shat Rat's salvage. Adventure commenses.

As the subject of ships having artificial gravity has cropped up a few times, I've tried to come up with a set of ideas that might be useable in SF/KH. For now I haven't fully written the blurb that describes how it all works, but for the moment let's assume that my ideas are pretty much based on what I dimly remember of grav plates in Traveller. Other things, such as various films etc have also fed into these ideas. Put simply, these systems are computer controlled and this is reflected in their cost both in terms of credits and function points.

I am interested in either a PBEM or even a weekly online game by video.  Used to run a game back in the 80s, but would rather just play.

Yesterday I shared a post from 'Black and White Tabletop RPG Illustration' Facebook group to the 'Star Frontiers - Alive and Well' group. This showed some artwork from 'The Sarafand File' a mini-adventure published in the August 1985 issue of 'Imagine' Magazine (issue 29). Despite buying 'Imagine' once in a while at the time - it was a UK version of 'Dragon', more or less - I don't remember this particular article. It would be nice to see it.

What is you next SF character?

What haven't you played that you would like to explore?

    Species?

    An archetype?

    A PSA you haven't explored.

Stuff you briefly explored but the game petered out and you feel you have unfinished business with that character.

    RE: Polyhedron #9
published the same year as Star Frontiers

with Raoul Debonham, an Assistant Xenopologist (whatever that is), on the PGC Artifact Research and Development Team who encounters Nothru Far Rider, an Ul-Mor and his loper mount on Laco while investigating the ancient Tetrarch city ruins.

So what if this was the true start of the Volturnus campaign?
