 December 30, 2015 - 5:04pm | The review of the Vimh brought the yazirian disc grenade to my attention from SFman 5. What is needed is a disc grenade bandolier. There normally is a IM penalty if you are caught with a pistol holstered or rifle slung on shoulder. The disc grenade bandolier keeps them ready to hand and reduces the IM penalty by 1? Think chewbacca's bandolier except with disc grenades I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
December 16, 2015 - 6:26am | Idle musing but occasionally you see a company with the word " Incorpoated " added after its name. Vrusk conglomerates might have Conglomerated added after their name in much the same way. For example: Rk'zt Conglomerated. Or since we're talking about conglomerates Rk'zt, Rzn'krntz & Kee'Tm Conglomerated where 3 distinct trade houses handed together because their business interest were intertwined. December 10, 2015 - 4:08am | Just thinking that there should be a body comp progit to help regulate holo screens. Holo screens have a disk to run a specific program. This progit should operate like a Multi-disk CD changer. With an audio act progit in the same body comp you'd be able to change programs by voice command.  December 7, 2015 - 5:51pm | They were called the Mheme, or Meheme, or something close to that. The illustration for them looked a little like a Piper Fuzzy. I've seen the same or similar illustration also used for Ifshnit, but that's not the species I'm thinking of. If anyone knows this species and could link me to the appropriate resource, I'd be appreciative. |
December 7, 2015 - 12:25am | Oh BROTHER did I get an earful from my prospective players. Neither one overly fond of the extremely abstract damage rules. Three hour debate over whether or not lasers were over-powered or under-powered and why would anyone want to carry one? One of the two is a physics and firearms afficianado and took umbrage at some of the range issues...and things went on from there. |
December 5, 2015 - 5:12am | I'm planning to use W-Y and the Aliens universe (which I include Avatar in) as part of my campaign background. I posit that that Earth is the human homeworld in the Frontiers version of the galaxy. I posit that since no one knows what happened to the Earth/human homeworld, that it might have been overrun (as seemed to be happening) by the Xenomorphs, thus explaining why contact was lost. |

 November 1, 2015 - 10:24am | Finally managed to cajole my regular Cthulhu D20 players into playing a game of Star Frontiers last Monday. 2 of them are seasoned SF veterans who just haven't played a game in 10 years or so, another was a newbie to the system. It was funny, the simple math seemed pretty taxing to guys that have been playing complicated systems for years the last time we did character creation a couple years ago, so this time I just handed out some old characters and rolled with it. |

 October 24, 2015 - 12:04pm | I am trying to understand Knight Hawk hull ratios, and I want to figure out possable volume or area. Should I being treated the numbers given as finding the area of a cylinder? Also any ideas on how to go past hull 20. "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |
