Some have the opinion that aircars ride about 10m off the ground, anything else would be considered an aircraft, especially base on the posts above.

I'd like opinions so that I can remain true to AD in the Expanded Project.

I made a dice roller I thought you all might like. Bill helped me trick it out with a blur image and sound. Bill has given me some more efficient code for the die roller. See below for three sets of dice rolled and the code for each set.

This is a small set of dice patterned after the original boxed set:

I'm writing an adventure for SFMan issue 7 and need to know what the max altitude of an aircar is.
Currently the "mooks" have used an air car to on the 99th floor to....well I don't want to ruin it.

Or, to put it another way, do you believe the Alpha Dawn rules can be used in a more "generic" fashion, without being tied specifically to the Frontier?  In many discussions, some people have voiced the notion that the "retro-future" feel of the game is absolutely vital to its charms, but on the other hand, projects like Fantasy Frontiers indicate that some folks don't agree.  So how about it -- could you see yourself using the Alpha Dawn rules with a flashier, more modern campaign setting, or one that's even more retro than the early 1980s?

Hi!  I've played SF twice in the past 2 months, after 20 years of zip!  I'm heading a game with my son and my best friend and his son.  I 'levelled up' my problem solving and abstract thinking skills as a kid with D&D and Star Frontiers... Played D&D until I was baout 20.. Recently began again.

Howdy SFers, just found my way in here. Gotta look around yet...but also wanted to announce a play by post game I'm starting up. Woot/simple is already in, we have room for two more players:

I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out
