July 14, 2012 - 8:46pm | I sustained a whiplash injury today falling out of a van. I'm fine just massively sore in the neck and back. That's not my point though- since I went home in pain I wasn't much in the mood to do any of the work I'm suppose to be doing so I jumped on a MMOLRPG and started grinding quests for a distraction.  July 14, 2012 - 6:40pm | Just came home from Afganistan. Just been reading the forums. It's been a long while since I have had a chance to look at them. I see a lot of new people posting on them. Welcome to the table, all. Just wanted to let you all know that I am back safe and sound, I can finally have coffee without grounds in the bottom of the cup. Nobody is shooting at me and I dont have to check the area for explosives before I get out of the vehicle. Even at Wal-Mart. The wife and I had another baby while I was away. That makes a total of five. A few more and I will have an assault scout crew. hee hee. The bombing starts in five minutes. |
July 13, 2012 - 8:01pm | Nothing to much this year that made be go wow- even the tribute to Fenway Park's centennial was pretty ho-hum- in the interest of fairness the sand castles are not finished till tomarrow. however they have been more spectacular in the past though I did notice a trend in having holes going through the sand castles (notice the holes in the following pic) Though the holes through the sand castle is probably technically difficult what i saw today just didn't do much to make the sand castles more impressive except in one case. July 4, 2012 - 6:56am | Well I'm off to wander Boston with the kids and see and do cheep or free stuff, though my daughters want to wear princess costumes to visit Fort Independence on Castle Island but there just isn't much out that way beside the fort and really greasy fried clams and well that and lots of beach goers but I cant really enjoy myself at the beach with the family along [sigh- if you know what I mean]. June 26, 2012 - 4:57am | I remember my Dad telling a story about wrestling a bear at a circus in Hartford CN to impress my Grandmother. The two other guys that got into the ring didn't close with the bear but Grandpa did and put a bear hug right back on the circus bear and got a little scratched up on his arms for his trouble. (I did get the impression that Grandma wasn't that impressed.) Anyway that's family legend. This morning I followed a link to a catalog of rare color photographs from the '30s and '40s and spotted the following taken at the Vt state fair in '41: I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
