    http://www.ragingswan.com/6-stowaways-with-personality/

because I'm an idea whore and I steal ideas from everywhere I love Creightn Broadhurst's blog

    This is a good idea.

Lets talk about stowaways, especially since Royal Marines and other militias are getting some development of late, Militia crews might just run into a stowaway here and there. And if you are not running a militia game, I bet you have star ships in your game anyway.

Issues we should discuss with stowaways? How they get on ship? Where they hide?
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

I like to limit the ultratech/wonders in sci fi games.AD does that nicely with screens.

Why can't a character even wear two screens, with one switched off?

Gollywog: the common name for the planet

White Light II: technical, astronomical name for the planet

Clarion: actually the name of the state that controls the planet: The Kingdom of Clarion

Gollywogs: also called  Fen Savages and Froggers. Human in origin, inbred and mutated descendants of early castaways and crash-landers from the pre-colonial period.

Human homeworldHumans came from Earth. Yeah, this contradicts Alpha Dawn. I’m using the Space Odyssey modules as background, but combining it with Alpha Dawn.Earth is very far from the Frontier Sector, across the Galactic Core. Pi-tachyon communications don’t work when aimed through the Core because of a huge black hole and very high radiation levels. It would take a lifetime to reach Earth from the Frontier.

Opposing Force had a working title of Wargames originally. Imagined as a plot hook to involve another militia in White Light system and have stuff happen.

Then i thought its wargames designed to enhance interservice cooperation. So maybe several militias send ships as well as a Space Fleet patrol group and Fortress Redoubt and a squadron of fighters based off of it.

So as we all know the equipment lists were writen by Yazirians for Yazirians with out much consideration for the other Core 4 races (except their heroes the Humans). While working on a little project and wanting to include ground cycles I found that a ground cycle could have two passengers. Since your average ground cycle is 1.7 meters long and your average Vrusk is 1.5 meters long, how do you fit two of them on a ground cycle? Also how does a Vrusk biker even fit his little Dralasite buddy on one with him?
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

As I'm reviewing a WoWL challenge submission Im reminded of this:

"The Royal Marines are in charge of station security. Although the characters responsible for this police work are in a separate branch of the Service, all Royal Marines in the area can be called in to help when trouble breaks out."

Has anyone ever tackled detailing this branch?

    Some thoughts/questions:

    1. Should it be called a branch? in American service different branches of service are usually Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.

Just a hour or so ago, WotC started posting PDFs of the Star Frontiers modules on-line on DriveThruRPG.  Currently it is just the character sheets (free) and the two Volturnus modules ($4.99 each) but DriveThruRPG responded to one of my tweets saying more were on the way.  Here are the links:

What are the territorial limits of a colony or a star system?

    • 1. Haatzk Naar's body. The space helmet of the infamous priate was enevtually located after his execution by being blown out of an air lock with a holed space suit. It was presumed that he decided to go on his own terms and removed his helmet. The body has never been found butif it was it might settle the question surrounding the rumor that he escaped his execution by trading places with a body double.
    2. The Wyaddah's Revenge a 160 year old mystery: all was not as well as the Fo1 would like to pretend with their ascention to power during the Yazarian Star Exodus.
