April 25, 2016 - 7:53am | I'm looking to verify some wiki information about the UPF credit system. We know from the rulebooks that ID cards are used for transactions like renting a vehicle or riding the monorail. That presumes that the UPF is in some part a "cashless" society. |
![]() April 21, 2016 - 6:32am | Local radio station is playing Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence which is a seriously cool version of that song. I'm sipping cheap coffee and considering the possibilities of the sonic prod and sonic fence. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
April 19, 2016 - 1:18pm | A few I've thrown together![]() made from clipart I found online and the alternate UPF logo thats somewhere around here. The part of the Galactic Light logo that is the Buck Rogers Federal Directorate logo is by viperaviator at Deviantart. Alternate Central party logo made from clipart and the alt UPF logo. ![]() |

April 10, 2016 - 6:55pm | I don't want to start any nasty debates about RL politics. It might be a bit too much "on the nose" for some. Should I go ahead or should I not so we don't get into any flame wars? Thoughts? |
April 3, 2016 - 9:54am | Is terraforming part of your SF setting? Are there any references to it in the TSR published materials (I seem to recall GoDCo or something like that, in Zeb's. And the Von Neumann mining machines in one of the Ares articles, although those were not explicating terraforming devices, but more in the way of automated, pre-colonization industrial development. But that could be part of a terraforming process on some worlds.) |
April 3, 2016 - 1:20am | I keep seeing CR ratings referring somehow to "levels" of law in Wiki entries. Supposedly it has something to do with Zeb, but I can't find it IN Zeb. Can anyone explain this or point me to the right articles? Google Fu is failing me. |
April 2, 2016 - 11:33pm | This has probably been brought up at least once, but why, if SF technology can manipulate mass and inertia to slow down bullets can't it generate AG fields for spaceflight? Seems to me the only answer so far is "then it wouldn't be Star Frontiers", which I think is a bit silly. I mean, that's the game as it exists. I get that. And yes, the feel radically changes if AG gets into it, but whey then did they have inertia screens to begin with? Or albedo screens for that matter (bending light through fields). Curious to see what you all think. |
