Hi there folks ... not really familiar with message boards or the internet much beyond emails and web browsing ... but I did play SF back in the 80's.

Came across your site by following links from http://www.rpggateway.com

Just thought I would sign up and look around.

    Any suggestions where to begin?

Today is the first day that I have seen this site. I think it is exceptionally well done. I like the sidebar items, and I really like the way the forum is presented. I just have to roll the dice everytime I open this site, which has been a couple of times today. Keep up the good work, guys.

Although I signed up ages ago, I'm just now having the chance to come back to this site and really start learning my way around.  Lots of cool stuff.

Having said that (and speaking as a book editor), it really bugs me that some of the projects are alphabetized under the word "the."  That's just so very...incorrect.  A, an, and the are never supposed to be used as part of alphabetizing a list.

Of course, this is far from the only website or other medium that I've seen make this error, but it always bothers me.

There are several of this site's members offering their very talented material in the FRONTIER FICTION project that many of you may enjoy. This is original Star Frontiers material being offered.

Are you a talented writer? Come to the FRONTIER FICTION project to offer your short stories.

Any chance of adding RSS feeds for the "what's new" area, and perhaps the forum?

Okay - try it out - go to your profile, edit it, and select the block called "Fancy Menu Menu".  While you're there, turn off the Quicklinks and Buddylist blocks - you won't need 'em.  Then click "Submit" and you'll have a new popup menu that I *HOPE* is simple and acceptable to everyone, even Corjay and Full Bleed :)

I jest out of love, my friends!!

It looks like there are one too many navigation tabs now.  My search box is touching the first tab now.

    I'd remove "Userlist."

I also think the "Feedback" tab (guestbook) link is redundant.   You have a Support section and a Website forum to handle "feedback."

I suggest moving the Userlist to the lefthand navigation menu and killing the guestbook... or at least moving the Guestbook to the lefthand menu too.  I can't imagine it's going to get much meaningful activity.

I was looking at the Star Frontiersman website, and I was thinking that the site really is quite nice in its simplicity and ease of accessing the offerings there.  Although it seems that Bill wants to migrate its contents over to this (Revival) site, I would differ.

How about we try contact WOTC and get Star Frontiers on the RPGA's game list? Or even create our own gaming league.

I think the support section should be broken into subsections so open issues are separate from resolved issues or at least make it so that we could list only one type and not the other.

The way it is now makes it difficult to find if an issue one discovers has been reported yet.

For example, I was going to report the problem with over-sized images breaking out of a post box (http://starfrontiers.us/node/1777#comment-2203) but really didn't feel like wading thought all the pages of issues (especially since manny of them are categorized at resolved.)
