    Refer to: Interpretting the Rolls.

Seems to me that the actual ability score is irrelevant in d20 system... the only thing of value is the ability score modifier. For example, a character who has a DEX score of 16-17 is treated identically throughout all of the rules, each providing a +3 modifier to all rolls. Since the score is not relavent, then why not just figure the conversion out using the modifier?

Ok so I got started, and will try to post faithfully on our findings. I would like to first state that I am in no way implying that the way my group here in Indiana is doing this is the only way or that I am trying to write offical rules. I am merely letting everyone know what I am doing as a ref in a single game.

That being said if what we do is something that the project wants to adopt I will be happy to write it up as offical content, and promise to blush and feel flattered accordingly.

    Refer to: CLASSES AND SKILLS.

It's fairly clear the chasm of difference between Star Frontiers skills and d20 skills and classing. d20 is far more complicated. This discussion is to consider what needs to be done in this regard.

The d20 Future game has the following skills (I don't have the d20 Modern game, so someone else will have to fill anything relevant in that regard):

    Ambassador
    Dogfighter
    Dreadnought
    Engineer
    Explorer
    Field Officer
    Helix Warrior
    Space Monkey
    Swindler
