Movement Conversion

Refer to: Gamma World Creatures.

Okay I have been doing conversions from GW to SF on these critters and based on the numbers very few critters seem to move any thing but slow, which seems odd... so here is what I am doing:

A GW melee turn is 10 seconds, so 6 turns = 1 minute.
A Star Frontiers melee turn is 6 seconds, so 10 turns = 1 minute.

Luckily both games are in metrics, and Move/Movement per turn is thus in meters for both games, and in both games you are usually getting the average "walking" speed.

In GW to get fastest speed you multiply average listed speed X 5

So a GW critter that Moves: 18 would convert this way:

!8 x 6 = 108 then 108/10 = 10.8 I would round that up to 11, the max speed of the critter would be 55.

I am thinking I should be using the critters max speed to decide fast, slow, medium... I think I put the wrong speed type on the critters, I will be adding Max Speed and adjusting the classifications on the ones in download.

I don't think the x5 rule works well for bipeds, which should probably be slower... will look at SF movement closer

Check AD tables a creature rated very fast would have a similar speed
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!
