@TerlObar, I can throw 200 juggernauts at him.  They will take 2h17m to get there.  I'd like to coordinate so that I hit him right before you SY shows up.  Tell me when to start in mountain time.

I could even attack his turrents then fleet to open up his SY to you.

Edit:  BTW, I'm heading to bed.  I'll be up at 5pm mountain time abd will have an hour then to act.  Then I'll be gone until about 10pm then I'll have another ~2 hours to act.  Then I will be gone until about 6am.

Don't hit the Alliance.  Hit only the person.  He aggressed, if we stand against him his partners may say, "Too bad dude, you tried but they stood together and we don't want the fight."  If we hit another then it becomes a group thing.

I agree with iggy, let's just hit him.  We can deal with escalation if they do it.  I'll coordinate later on times as I'm pretty swamped this morning.

Okay.  I'll be hitting him between 9 and 11 am tomorrow (Sunday, Sept 30).  He seems to use Crusaders and they were level 21 attack and defence, not level 25 as I said earlier. If he hasn't reorganized his fleet, he had 361 ships left after recycling my stations and ships.  I have no idea what his turret attack/defense levels are or those of his stations.

I'll be hitting him with a fleet of Collossus and Swingers (420 and 200 respectively to start), my tech level is level 22 attack, 17 defense for Collosus and level 17 for both attack and defense with my Swingers.  I have 0 levels in attack and defense on Juggernauts so I won't be using them.  I'll launch a large build campaign tonight before I go to bed and tomorrow morning once I get up and get a bunch more ships built.  I've got plenty of resources (>550,000 energy) so I can sustain a large negative burn rate on my energy for a while as the ships build up overnight and are in flight tomorrow.

So if anyone wants to participate, hit him just before 9 am MDT tomorrow.  Iggy for you that means launching between 6:30 - 7:00 am mountain time.  I'll check for any alliance ships enroute before I actually engage him and make sure your attacks go through first and then I'll clean up anything left.

I'll build up another 400 juggernauts and hit the turrets first then the fleet if there is anything left.  My juggernauts are level 18/18 attack/defense.

I've got close to 600 fighters showing up around 5pm Eastern time Sunday

Searched for: Drew Carver. Spy Probes found 5 stations: (997, 2633) (667, 2484) (1645, 2462) (1135, 1492) (1329, 575) You used 250 Spy Probes, went from 500 Spy Probes to 250 Spy Probes.

Searched for: drew carver. Target has 1 or more defunct stations. Spy Probes found 4 stations: (2598, 2042) (227, -97) (1645, 2462) (1135, 1492) You used 200 Spy Probes, went from 250 Spy Probes to 50 Spy Probes.

Searched for: drew carver. Spy Probes found 1 stations: (1144, 1498) You used 50 Spy Probes, went from 50 Spy Probes to 0 Spy Probes.

did a little searching for Mr Drew; if things get out of hand this is where some of his stations are as of right now.

That was fun.  Iggy's ships attacked the turrets which were defended by the fleet.  He wiped out the fleet and some of the turrets leaving 360 turrets around.

I then hit the remaining turrets with a fleet of 450 Collosus and 200 Swingers, elminating them and then taking out the shipyard and resource station in turn.  The battle reports are below:

The low numbers of ships lost vs the stations suggest they were not very high level despite the technology. He probably built the resource station in place rather than fly it there thus its hit points and attack levels were too low to chew up your ships. My ships will be in the area in 5 hours and I'll build a ship yard as a bluff and leave my ships on defense for a few days till my real SY gets there.

Probaby.  It is a high value target.  My replacement resource station which I moved from a credit planet to the NNE will be there in a couple of hours as well (the one that got recycled is still 6 days away :( ).  I'll crank out some more turrets in the next little while as well.  He doesn't seem to have anything else nearby so it may be a while before he comes back if he does at all.

Well he just hit me again at the same place and send me a message:

Quote:
Great day so far. Shall I start hitting you at your other stations now?

I still have a shipyard near by and could hit back but I'm not really sure I want to escalate this.  Mainly because of the time sink.  I don't really care all that much about this game and don't want to invest a lot of time into it.  Otherwise I'd nail him again and keep fighting.  What to you guys think?

I would try talking to him and point out that we did not go after his other stations on retake the property he attacked.

Point out that a mass recycling can go both ways and this has so far been just about this one property.

I agree the damn game is pulling me back in and occupying more waking hours than it should. In fact I think that I'm beginning to despair of every getting to a comfortable position in the game.

sent to Drew Carver:

Not to start a pissing contest but you do realize you were the aggressor at this location. we took it as just part of the game and since its a high value property that we'd have to defend it to keep it. I'm under the impression that you wish to expand the conflict to open war which really seems like a waste as mass recyclings can go both ways.

This is an attempt at diplomacy, while hitting a bunch of stations is always fun its only a matter of time before that "fun" is returned to sender and then you have to reorganize and recover lost property- its messy.

Lets talk about this.

EDIT: I just pulled the fighters there about 1 hour before he hit so I could use them somewhere else. Stupid on my part. as it is those same fighters are now 23 hours out from hitting his fleet but I will call them off if he negotiates with us.

He only had collosi fighters in his fleet when he recycled my SY did he have swingers when he his you Tom? If not then he's probably burning platnum to move his ships as those fighters are pretty slow and they only way to move them long distance is with faster fighters in tow so that the speed averages out.

doing a little poking around I found their home base @ 1135, 1492 its a SY cloud on two high value properties with lots of turrests

I suspect from looking at that cloud of SY that that represents the whole of the alliance membership.

Consider the following data on power levels:
Drew Carver 25,623
Jojie Klink 26,621
Bry Rob 32,798
Mark Samuelson 68,420
Rodney Massa 19,031
David Wilson 37,351
Dave Wilson 34,387
Robert Molina 71,204
Logan Klink 39,308
Joy Thomas 22,303
Bill Goulet 30,489
Tom Burnette 34,113
Patty Sanders 22,092
David Hahn 33,167

From reviewing the above I think there may be an imblance in power and that these guys can do what they want and take what they want and know it. Perhaps shadow shack might know some infor on them like that they are known for being pirates. Whats interesting is that it does not look like they take in new members- no one under 19,000 PL. I think we have to negotiate for a cease fire and call it a day in the space lanes.

He has said nothing to me.  Only one fleet sitting on the world.  He probably has nothing close to get there.  Has any of his alliance participated or spoken so far?  I could build up another bunch of juggernauts.  I have 9,920 j-cores stored up.

I personally have been playing low key in the game.  I want to keep it that way with only tit for tat wars, not grudges.

He had 540 collosus and 100 swingers when he first hit me. Taking out my fleet, then my turrets and then jedi's station and then my station.  In the end, he had 220 Collosus left.  I have a shipyard just north and could hit him in an hour at any point but given that he seems beligerant, he's the leader of the 12th ranked alliance with 40 members and an average power > 20k, and I'm really not in the mood to spend that much time in-game, I'm willing to just walk away from this.  It kind of sucks giving up a Delta ore planet but I just don't really want to spend the time necessary to pursue it and I defnintely don't want it to escalate.  I think if I push it, he'll recruit the rest of his alliance and then it will be general combat on all of us.

A Wise choice. But now I feel bad. The 'ping' message was to see if the player was active. Since I was unfamilar with the alliance, I pinged the turrets. When I saw they were rather low leveled, i decided he was inactive, and i attacked.

SCU is a very aggressive alliance, but we are not bullies. You can have the asset back. You guys wanted to play so I sent one fleet there to ply with you. I'll try to leave my fleet there un til you return to claim it.

I'll get a fleet and my SY moving to the spot to hold it for tom ASAP
