![]() August 6, 2009 - 10:56am | http://www.wired.com/science/space/news/2008/08/space_limits seems the 1% of C to void jump may just be a handy fantasy I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() August 4, 2009 - 7:36am | just a bit of Apollo 11 trivia from a buddy in US Customs I uploaded a pdf copy of the actual customs document into the Port Loren Public Library project for want of a better place to put it. I know the manager of that project and I don't think he'll object to much. here's the body of the email that was sent with the attached doc for your reading pleasure: I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() July 22, 2009 - 8:37pm | This is a question to any of you Mac users out there as I am not one. Is it possible to compile code on a PowerPC based Mac that will run on either another PowerPC based Mac or an Intel based Mac? Or even cross-compile to both architectures? And do you know how to do it? I vaguely remember talk of something called Universal bytecode or something similar. Does anyone know anything more about this? Ad Astra Per Ardua! ![]() July 21, 2009 - 8:44am | Just got back from Historicon in PA- great time at my first war-game convention. thought I'd give a heads up on a little discussion I had with an exhibitor- (this post gets around to the relevance to SF at the end) www.achesoncreations.com (The bad news is this is an old obsolete site and the new one will be up in Sept with over 500 products + all the new stuff but right now the site aint much to look at and its missing the really cool new stuff) I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
![]() July 18, 2009 - 11:43am | After thinking a bit about jedi's question about using Twitter for gaming, I decided that it might be fun to have a Star Frontiers presence on Twitter. So any of you on Twitter can now follow @StarFrontiers. And if you post things about Star Frontiers in your own accounts I reccommend using the #StarFrontiers hash tag to make it easy to search for. Tell your friends and if you want the StarFrontiers account to boadcast something, just send a direct reply to the @StarFrontiers account and I'll retweet it. It will be interesting to see how many followers we can generate for the acccount. Ad Astra Per Ardua! ![]() July 11, 2009 - 10:27pm | I don't know about the rest of you but I just saw this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6tg7n6idTg video on the new Splinter Cell game. I have been playing the different games since they came out with the first game. Thought people might like to see what they have been coming up with in the new game. ![]() July 9, 2009 - 8:40am | Has anyone made any effort to build a simplfied version of Knight Hawks? Maybe one based on the original rules but that simplifies the fighting system so that you could easily adjudicate a fleet sized battle in a small amount of time? An example of simplified fleet combat would be "A Sky Full of Ships" located here: http://www.hwcn.org/%7Eao421/fleet.html |
July 2, 2009 - 10:14am | I am working on some d20 monster conversions into SF (open content only). Should I post them to Creature Compendium, d20 Conversion or cross-post to both? Long live the Frontier! |
