Saw these images from the module and thought they suggested sathar to me, the robots with tentacles and the obviously sathar bio-engineered bunny    Has anyone ever adapted Expedition to the Barrier peaks to Star Frontiers? October 5, 2017 - 6:53pm | Local comic book store sponsors gaming but it seems the local RPGers are committed D20 gamers: versions 3.5, 5th and pathfinder. I am loath to play D20 with few exceptions: B/X and Stars Without Number was rereading SwoN and the setting for that is wide open- referee can do what ever he wants. and its rather easy to incorporate your favorite movie- Battle Beyond the Stars particularly fits SwoN or Silent Running, Event Horizon, even the Aliens movies. September 27, 2017 - 8:47am | Anyone else catch Star Trek, Discovery? I did not see it advertised and caught it at the last minute because my dad told me. Liking some elements of its but not the new klingons. or the new Klingon outfits. Love the idea behind the "Vulcan Hello" which was unexpected and interesting. I've made numerous mentions over the years of my SF star ship house rules that were penned when I first got the SF boxed set (long before it was retitled "Alpha Dawn", a.k.a. the "purple box"), citing my characters' ship that was dubbed "Volturnian Knighthawk" and the corresponding tale of the following year when I discovered a pink SF expansion boxed set sporting a similar name. |
September 15, 2017 - 4:23am | As you all know I have been a bit busy and handicapped with needing a working word program... still waiting on this, grumble. I currently have to use one on an IPad that pisses me off... worst still the upgrade lost files or rather moved things... I found some of them last night.... happy dance. So maybe I can finish a few projects... and get others back on track. So glad I found the Sathar paper I had started... was super bummed it was missing. Will be reorganizing the computer files for sure... that will be a big job. "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |
