My father and I have shared an activity since Mom passed: watching a dramatic series like Rome, Deadwood, and Generation Kill which I typically bought in DVD and binge watch a couple of episodes. Or we watch Viking or Game of Thrones together when a new episode is out. We didn't do much in 2017 but I kept telling him he'd really like BSG or Breaking Bad but he kept saying he didn't want to start a new series.

I like that this guy breaks it down into mechanics, style and setting. I always think story when I consider this question but mechanics and style of play certainly are important if we're talking about a perfect campaign.

Mechanics: AD is awesome. Its fast play and I love that and the mechanics dont get in the way of the game. There is some clunkiness in the original rules so perhaps some SFman and or FE options would be good.

My Girlfriend, wonderful creature that she is, bought me BSG the complete series for Christmas and I swear to Zeb Cook that I saw the Firefly space craft in the sequence right after they show Caprica City for the first time and right before they pan to Mary McDonald recieving the new of malignant cancer.

Maybe I'm late to this dance but was totally floored by seeing that.

Anyone into Josh Gates Destination Truth?

I've been a fan of his Expedition Unknown but recently caught the Destination Truth series.

Basically they take a team and technology and go research a legend:

    The Kappa in Japan

UFOs in Chile and Easter Island

Nan Madol in Micronesia- a haunted ruin of tombs and temples on 93 man made islands separated by salt water canals at the edge of the jungle and ocean. Truly an awesome RPG location IMO.

    and Aiesha Kandisha in africa.

Exactly 30 days ago I was riding my motorcycle to work when it caught on fire. I pulled into a McDonald's and doused it with their fire extinguisher.

I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Confession: im not a Dr Who fan.

However, figured id record the Christmas Special since they were bringing the first Doctor back for a guest appearance.

And as they would say across the pond, "It was bloody brilliant." Or at least that's how i feel about it.

Like that they rebuilt the original TARDIS inside and out.
Nice story and i like how it was determined that the 12th incarnation of the Doctor was the Time Lord of War. Enjoyable story even if youre not a big fan.
