I just posted something that brought back some great memories of one of my favoritehard sci-fi movies of all time: Runaway, with Tom Selleck as a bomb squad cop and Gene Simmons (of KISS) as one of the best terrorist villains in cinema hisory. I must have watched that movie a few hundred times when I was a kid. I wish I owned it on DVD. We're just barely one step removed from that today.

Other favorites of mine include the obvious: Blade Runner, Alien, Aliens, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Serenity, and I'm sure there's plenty others that aren't coming to mind at the moment.

Anyone know of a good, reputable miniature painting service? I've got boxes of old SF minis and would love to get some of them painted, but I have zero skill in this area. Anyone here ever used a good service they could recommend?

Hey guys it's me Gergmaster. I have recieved some great news saying that I can graduate early from my high school. Yeah a lot of you might think what the heck is this kid doing here. Well I love the game but in order to graduate early I have to take extra classes. Thus, I must make some sacrafices for this. That means I will have to transfer my projects to other people. This will allow them to continue and even become far better than what I have been able to scrap up in my spare time. I hope to start doing more work here are there on the site come this summer.

I *loved* finding the www.starfrontiersman.com site when it first appeared (and didn't even have that address).  It was a dream come true.  And every Star Frontiersman magazine has been a breath of fresh air.  And then this site came available, and it seems like the air has grown stagnant again.

It was three months between issues 6 and 7 and it's been nearly 5 months since issue 8.

I was browsing around and found this little tutorial on how to bind a hardcover book.

    How to Bind a Book

Some time I may have to put together a Hardcover of the Alpha Dawn and Knight Hawks materials. If anyone tries this, please share your results and any comments on how you did it.

It is not exactly Star Frontiers news but, sadly I write that it appears official that Gary Gygax has passed away. Here is the the notice from the Troll Lords forum:

Unfortunately, do to some minor grievances, my wife and I are splitting up. This was a mutual agreement and we both think that this is for the best. This will mean that over the next few months I will not be able to post here as often as I would like. I will return however in July and continue reading and posting to these excellent forums. Thanks and Ill see you in a few months.

Stargate Atlantis is a pretty good hard sci-fi/military sci-fi show. Personally I just started watching it again after two years of not watching. Got the first few seasons and have seen the rest. It actually got a People's Choice Award this year beating Dr. Who and Battlestar Galactica. My favorite is the wraither who I am thinking about making up a segement about in the Star Frontiersman.
