A real mech you can buy today...if you've 1.3 Million bucks lying about.

Level 3 Robot body with direct control and seating for a pilot?

All I know is...if I win Powerball, I'm going to drive it all over the country and say Hi to all of you.

    Well, that didn't take long.
I can already see why traffic is down on the site.
Every thread becomes a debate, and gets derailed.

    Delete my account please.

Thanks for the opportunity to be something that
was better in the past than it is now.

For whatever purpose you see fit (exploration, combat, point A to point B transport, profit, etc), what ship would you choose for your very own from cinema, televison, and/or literature? From the SF game or any other RPG (Traveller etc)? And for each of those choices, why?

I live in Columbus, OH.  Anyone coming to the Origins conventions?  It'd be nice to say Hi to a friendly face.

    Good Morning All,

I have a Windows 10 computer that I'm trying to fix for a friend. His kid set a Windows password and forgot what it was. I'm going to try and bypass and remove it.

Before I start, might anyone have a suggestion on what to use, should you have any experience?

    Thanks!

I've always liked "frack" from BSG fame. It's a nice meaty fake swear word that for a made up word actually  felt  like swearing.

I thought Firefly/Serenity was inspired for:
1: doing the swearing in Chinese which was cool
    2. Using the word "humped" in place of screwed or a less polite "F" word.

My all time favorite was from Johnny Dangerously: "You farging iceholes." And of course "bastages"

    Others?

I would like to use this thread for my own Fan Fiction if permissable.
All timelines will be posted the heading of each story for they will
not be in any order. These stories actually came to me while creating a
background for my old character to be brought into a new game.
Thanks for reading. Critique if you feel like it for it will not be
critisism, but actually encouragement to do better.
    Time now : 112 FY Age 35
    Thanks in advance as always.
See you in the frontier ....

A.K.A. It's kinda dead in here...or am I not the only one suffering with the intense lag on the board?

The Keys to Good Science Fiction from Dragon #109 by Sherre Gilbert

    Sherri Gilbert wrote:
Star Trek (in this case she means TOS) survives long after its first airing with a massive following of fans. Star Trek is the perfect science fiction campaign.

The recipe is simple... first add in believable named NPCs. Next sprinkle in alien flavor: the unexpected and unknown. A little hardware goes a long way so becarful not to overdo it. Last interaction between PCs is important. Mix and stir carefully

Just caught an episode of Forged in Fire- a reality TV show where blade smiths compete to produce a knife/weapon against time and each other. In each round one smith is eliminated with the last man standing being awarded 10K.

Anyhow one smith was just eliminated because of cracks in his blade that the judges decided would likely fail during testing.
