I'll have to view these at home.

I've always thought the Belnafaer system ought to be another way out of the Frontier to other planets.

The "Bugs in the System" module has the PCs on a ship that is passing through the Belafaer system, but on the Zeb's map it has two star routes going to it, but it's not as though anyone would want to go there without any habitable planets, unless there are other mining colonies or something else there.

I think it should have a star route out to some other place, either Jannus or some of the various minor, fan-created races from Star Frontiersman.

I have always thought of it as the short route from Athor to Scree Fron, 12 LY Vs 19 LY for Athor to Araks to Scree Fron.  However, for it to be a system without habitable planets and on the major jump routes I agree that it has to have something important there beyond the Venturi and the Moneyspider.  Yet the module gives the system only three planets, two small hot rocky ones near Belnafaer and Venturi a gas giant further out.  The module claims the value of Venturi is the gasses in its atmosphere.  But why else would someone jump through Belnafaer all the time to make it a major established jump route?

We could put another star system behind it such that the 2D Zeb's and Alpha Dawn maps never revealed it.

For my re-run of Bugs in the System, I am going to have the folks land there as a result of a misjump from Prenglar to Gruna Garu (14ly) which lands them in the Zeb's location for Belnafaer (12ly) instead. The misjump isn't the astrogators fault who spent the time on a known route which should have been 100%. Instead there's something wrong with the computer control to the engines, which leaves them stuck here.
