So Greg Castle (PL 15,520) of the Starfleet alliance (13 members 194,750 total power level) just parked a RS on our hill.  Is there another star we can direct him to that is nearby?

Since we're not actually using it, I have no real problem letting him stay there but I figured I'd send him a warning as to what we're using the star for and that he might want to move somewhere else so he doesn't "accidentally" get his station recycled.  If I could direct him to another nearby star that would be the nice thing to do.

I already sent him one telling him one:

Hi,

I see you moved in a RS at our "hill" I dont think its going to be a problem but this is where we fight our fleet captains to build their experience. Its conceivable that someone in the alliance could accidentally target your station while meaning to target the fleet on the hill. Just thought I should give you a heads up.

That's about what I was going to say.  I looked around but couldn't find anything else close that was unoccupied to point him to.

My letter to Greg:

Greg,

You are welcome to stay here on the hill but be warned that we fight each other here.  I can imagine that you might get attacked by accident especially if one of us is using a smart phone to setup the battle.  Touch screens and smart phones have resulted in a few accidents in the past where one of us has selected the wrong target.  I have accidentally attacked another player in the alliance with a fleet of turrets.  I have accidentally upgraded the wrong function on stations, accidentally built the wrong type of ship, and one other guy in the alliance even accidentally recycled his own resource station when using his smart phone.

I have a theta star I am holding at 1231,1275 that you can have if you want.  Or just stay here.  I would suggest moving to the right of the star and we will fight on the left of the star to maximize safety.

We could move the hill to 855,2549.

That would work.

I'd have to turn off my turrets from defending or they would be in every battle at 855,2549.

Or move them so that their defense region only covers your other assets and not the hill.

We could simply move the hill a little. or take another unwanted planet somewhere nearby. Perferably a planet as I've become convinced that lots of players just move in an take energy sources when they feel they need too because they have an energy deficit from too many fighter and turret assets in game and are desperate to build more fighters to handle their game play.

I suspect that some of it is from neglecting to make balanced choices in their game.

Yah, it doesn't have to be a star.  I have turrets on the planet at 855, 2554 and the moon at 853,2551.  I could remove those turrets entirely.  I am only holding those bodies so as to deter others from camping close to my Omega Crew.  Also William is close by at 849,2573 and we might be able to pursuade him to join the game.

If we are really enamored with a star hill then I'm doing the same territory holding at 1069,2629.

Actually, he seems to have moved on.  So no decision needed for now.
