    Description:
A day by day timeline of events related to the First Sathar War.  Now a much more involved and detailed description of the ground fighting related to the retaking of Laco, Pale, and new Pale from the Sathar.

Very Gratified to see that you had the same idea as me that the names of the first 3 battleships of space fleet would be the names of the heros from the war.

I like the timeline and will conform my version of history to it. Great job working this up.

One point I'd advocate for change on. Canon says the Royal Guard has never been defeated in battle. The obvious question is when? I dont think its reasonable that this statement comes from the 2nd sathar war. And I dont think that it would come from any of the Corporate wars. So it seemed to me that it has to come from the 1st Sathar war. This is why I wrote into my history project that then Captain Morgaine would urge the monarchy to begin a military build up after his experiences in first contact with the yazirians. So that it would be reasonable that the fledgeling Frontier could respond militarily to the sathar. To justify the legend of not being defeated in battle it seemed that they needed some history; thus the Mercy Mission to Madderly's star and their being the first combat ready ground force that could respond.

This is why I had them landed and engage sathar ground troops on Laco. Once the Sathar detected the Tetrarch pyramids I assumed they would encamp near them realizing that there might be some great boon in technology that could be garnered from them. The Royal Guard and their hover tanks engage and destroy the Sathar force near the pyramids even as the other planets with PGC's industrial help are forming Ground forces for the retaking of Laco and Pale. Can even write in that The Royal Guard commander was under orders to hold till the supporting troops being raised arrived but that he either as a visionary or just an impetuous confident prima donna engaged the sathar. Naturally since he was victorious there was no recriminations.

New Ground Fleet Units were being raised from scratch and were a mixed bag, with many of the yazirian contributions being aggressive and impetuous, some of the poorly trained human formations being used to hold rear areas as befitting their lack or reliability, Dralasite and vrusk formations performing about average and some human formations performing average to good. (out of the after math of the war Ground Fleet was re-organized as purely mixed race formations partly to eliminate any murmuring & moaning that arose over some of the assignments given to certain formations).

Very likely that a PGC equipped human formation (poorly train) was detailed to replace the Royal Guard on Laco and the RG were transfered with the most reliable GF formations to Pale and New Pale.

Finally though New Pale has a light population or outpost population, the population stock that it does have would be resourcefull for 2 reasons: 1. they're farmers 2. if you accept that New Pale is a world populated by Dinosaur like creatures according to The dragon article "Volturnus Connection." I would think that a sizable chunk of that population could go bush and survive. that the sathar cybo-dragons might not fair so well in the jungle. Just a thought but it doesn't really change much in your timeline.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

I kind of thought the ground fighting was a little short on the recovery side but wasn't sure exactly what to work in there.  You have some good suggestions that I'll add in.

I'll need to read this timeline. I see it would fit in with discussion about the Second Common Muster.
