The sathar eye structure, to AD, is a weird double pupil that the book says confers wide angle vision. OK, what should that mean in game terms? An initiative modifier? Impossibility of being surprise? Ability to point and shoot a gun behind its back? Its just that the statement in the book implies that having double pupils means something but the book does not specify what that is.

Two independent pupils in the same eye: must be for independently looking at two different things at once. Implies some impressive computational ability in the optical centers of the sathar brain- they are processing four different optical imputs, not experiencing a signal overload, and acting on this without difficulty.

Why might they have evolved (and or been designed) with this capability? Were the evolutionary pressures from the direction of being prey or predator. If its prey then its to survive in a very dangerous environment and if predator it almost seems to be that they were a lurking predator that observed and processed their environment visually then struck with speed and precision.

It could also be tied to the hyptnotism special ability: perhaps they used the two pupils to mesmerize prey and lull it to complacency so they could subdue it with ease. Yeah I like that, its creepier and sinister at the same time.

Good question... why "wide angle", most creatures that have eye-sight that allows them to see "around" them casual like are trying to avoid being dinner. It is assumed their other senses are in line with human but what if that is incorrect? They have smell through two "pits" in front of the eyes, but we do not know developed the nasal pits are, if they are highly developed the species could have stared out as a scavenger (which sorts of fit them).
