The Project is Back

The Private Sector Project has boots back on the ground again. I have decided to create this project into a full-fledged guide. Much of the key concepts are still being used by the Delta Dawn sourcebook.

Yeah, I was thinking about this, and think Delta Dawn could focus on the broad military aspects covering some on the corporate wars, while the Private Sector goes more in depth on the mechanics and politics of corporate interactions and privately funded organziations, and whatever other aspects you would want to expand on.

In fact, Delta Dawn should expand on the Corporate wars only as much as necessary, leaving plenty of room for a second project on that and more.

Ok, so the announcement on the main page of the project is outdated? The Private Sector is once again "unmerged"? Sounds good to me if that's the case.

As far as the project itself, I have a question. Over the years I've converted many of the megacorps (and regular corps) from the Traveller and Star Wars universes. This kind of stuff ok here, or are we dealing with SF "canon" or completely original material only? I'm sure my notes could be genericized if keeping non SF material out of the project is a goal.

Actually the "Mini-Guides" to the Frontier are for optional canon. The private sector is for Star Frontiers canon at the moment until we can come to some kind of agreement. But, go over to the other project and you can post your material there (meant for errata and whatnot). Love to see you on the site. Could always use help on this project and all of the others.

Yeah I would not worry about canon.  Post to your heart's content.

Let each ref determine what he wants as canon.

Ok, cool. I'm mainly worried about the Star Wars stuff, since I've heard horror stories of Lucasfilm being picky about what fan sites can and cannot do. Might have to genericize that stuff. Haven't ever heard anything bad about Marc Miller and traveller material being converted to other games, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll post what I have as time permits.
