Status: Unresolved

button/tab that lead to the character sheet generation page.

    Issue Number:
    128
    Severity:
    Moderate
    Description:
There should be someway to navigate to the character sheet generation page on all or nearly all of the pages. This is not just for ease of location but is also for "hook" when a potential new player/gamer strolls in to find out more about this Star Frontiers thing. New rpg players are often times hooked into a cool game by being able to "see" what their alter-ego/character's potential is. In fact, the character sheet generation page should be robust with features, options, etc. in order to demonstrate to a potential new SF player that there exists vast "possibilities" and significant character development potential. Without possibilities and potential development, new players are less likely to invest the time and/or resources into a game that is "perceived" as limited (or worse, dead ended).

This is on the front page, but yes, it should be higher, but I don't know about it being on every page of the project.

    Click to add your character

Click to get a list of submitted characters or create a new one.

Being an essential part of the main navigation menu will capitalize on both the instant gratification and committal selling points for new players. Without new players, this is nothing more than a nostalgia website consisting of a limited group of old-school sci-fi gamers. Any active website of any RPG company always contains "instant" ways for someone to click on when they have browsed/investigated enough.

OCS is just one of many projects.
I guess it could become "part of the web site" when it's all fleshed out.

Right now it's just a simple way to store characters online for easy reference and one-stop-shopping. lol

There is a thread to discuss the technical mumbo jumbo in the forum section of OCS.... I would suggest filling out Feature Requests and Support Issue for the project at this link - http://starfrontiers.us/support/201

NOTE: OCS has it's own Issue queue
