 June 4, 2017 - 8:44pm | Lt. Dan Braxton UPF Pilot reporting for duty, Sir! I'm new to the site, but, in no way new to the game. I played in the 80's, and a little in the 90's. I had a GM that would take everyones character sheets home with him. I guess no one cheated. Well, you guessed it, the GM stop coming around, and the group broke up due to lack of interest of buying new books. I still have some of my old modules though. A FB group, Star Frontiers Alive and Well had some members willing to start a game. After many emails from the GM helping me with the character creation, and me doing some photo shop editing in return as a favor (he didn't ask, I just did it) I changed my mind for a different direction. I photo edit as above posted, and love to spin stories. I started a new back story for my old pilot since I never did back in the day, we just winged it. After starting the 1st backstory, it spawned into more, and more, and more. I think that's the direction I want to take. If there is a game group, I might join as well in the mean time. What is and what isn't allowed when posting escapades for your character if there is a section? I pretty much just use made up words for curses, and love to use Frell, of Frelling from Farscape if swearing isn't allowed. But again, I'm not some kid, and I'm not retired. I'm in the middle and don't act 50, more like 30 probably, but not 50. If there's a group, or a forum slot that loves to trade stories here, or, dare I say it, another site, please let me know. I'm also on the PS4 DariousTheDark, or my old one BlazePSN sometimes. So please, let me know, don't just post up a 'go here', I'd rather get members involved in helping me do this. We don't mind resurrecting old threads. There is a frontier fiction project. There have been short stories posted in the open discussion group. We have projects and groups to stay organized and not to be crazy about policing each other. We love SF and just want to share with each other so join in. -iggy |

Yahoo group: frontierfreelancer I can't post the link from my phone for some reason today. Be sure to check out the magazines: Star Frontiersman and Frontier Explorer. A lot of content development for the fan zines happens on this site. Feel free to join in and contribute, you can submit content on frontierexplorer.org look for the gold button. June 5, 2017 - 12:36pm | jedion357, that was the one I joined. Yea, the structure was a bit different, and the D20 style was reminicant of d&d. The gm helped me rebuild my character. I decided to leave, and use some free time here on my fan fic. That game was set in 112 FY, and my stories will follow in same suit. 1st one up is 95 FY, and could be Moonbase Defense. I'm not sure if I'm ready to post up day one of 111 FY, the start of the first day of the one year celebration of the UPF. We'll see. |

The way this site is set up currently, the what's new tab seems to only show you new posts in the general forums, but you have to be a member of the various projects to see if anything new is posted there. And, yes, there are a lot of old projects. For me, some of the more interesting projects are: A Pirate's Life For Me A Very Yazarian Civil War Celestia Frontier Add-On Compendium of Creatures Corporate War on Antares 9 Deck Plans Joe's Half Baked Ideas (ah, hum, mine) Klikk Knight Hawks 2.0 New Streel Adventures Project (well, I don't know if it's interesting, but I'm trying to post stuff to it) Omnibus Roboticus Port Loren Public Librar (a must!) Staging Ground Volturnus Tch's Projects Top Secret ... That's just a few. I haven't delved deep enough into some of the other interesting sounding proejcts to see what's there such as Second Sathar War or ... June 5, 2017 - 9:22pm | JCab747 I started another Fan Fiction in Port Loren, with yours truly. It's at the start of the 111th Celebration. It was the first day of the 111th celebration, and I was invited somehow. Six years ago I was released as part of my ten year tour. Now, all expenses paid. All I had to do was wave my hand across the pay pads at their approved establishments, and it was all taken care of. Anything beyond that, I was on my own. When I say anything, I'll leave those places to your imagination. I was invited to Port Loren on Gran Quivera in the Prenglar system, for the first day. The rest of the year was up to me since it was a year celebration. Just the first part, the rest gets better, I promise. I don't know if there are any stories about the celebration, but, for the first day, all I can say is, if my writing continues the way it has, that whole year is going to be awesome. |
