Just saw it because I could not restrain myself.

Almost Star Frontiers-ish. Aside from artificial gravity, no aliens or guns.

Liked the depiction of the auto doc working on a person, interesting to see and not leave to the imagination.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Besides the autodoc, you clearly had mega corporations rigging the system to keep people poor and beholden to them. Chris Pratt had valuable skills so he got a reduced ticket to new colony 120 years (flight time) from Earth in exchange for high credit prices for services used on ship and 20% of whatever he earned for rest of his life going to the corporation.

It's like the company towns around a mine where the company store ensures that the miners can never get a head.

Perhaps this is a theme that could be explored with SF. Capellan Free merchant attempts to land and trade with workers on a mega corp planet. Company is not amused.
