Interplanetary Industries Flip back and forth between this entry and the NET entry they are supposed to be related.

I.I. specializes in high-tech devices of a noncomputer or non-communications nature that are too expensive for other mega-corps to produce. More galactic patents are held by I.I. than any other megacorp, and its research labs are the finest on the Frontier. Industrial spying is a way of life with most mega-corps and I.I. is no exception. Its private security force is reputed to be the best in the Frontier.
Headquarters: Lake Vast, Triad, Cassidine
Chief Executive: Harlon Thow (Human)
Subsidiaries: None

Everything about the two megacorps is opposite. Both do high tech but in totally different fields. One is all subsidiaries the other has none. One has the Steve Jobs in charge the other no one knows who is in charge. Both have Star Law watching them and II has a better private army than Merco. BUT both are located on Triad. This should tell us Triad is the most high tech planet in the Frontier and that Triad is a super hot bed of spying. Lots of Top Secret adventure types here.

Now for the different departments in the II mega corp. Since they must make literally millions of products I just went with a very basic breakdown. Also note that many of their products overlap with other megacorps products. It is just that theirs are the more expensive and much more feature related products:

Civilian: Here is where you can get everything from laser cutting lawnmowers to interactive holovid players to kitchen modules that not only cook your food but serve it to you. If it is needed for your home they make it.

Military: Not weapons but lots of other things militaries need like optical targeting sights, GPS, chemical weapons detectors and more. GTF is said to be their biggest customer.

Indutrial: Lab testing equipment to forklifts to vending machines if your business needs it they have it. Medical: Cause stasis chambers and hyposprays don’t make themselves.

Specialty Items: Sometimes a being just wants something that is not generally available. Custom items, especially toys and hobby items are very popular.

Research: II stays on top by constantly developing new and improved technologies. These are the best and most secure labs anywhere and many are located in very out of the way places. It is said there is a special branch of their security forces which investigate labs which have gone out of communication. These troops are very busy.

Last thought. This was one of the harder ones to write up. They are obviously meant to be the enemy of NET but once you take computers and commo out of high tech devices and then take everything else the other megacorps make and have a monopoly on out you have to get really creative on what they can make.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

Great point about Triad being a hot bed of spying and adventure. Might be andle for a CFM/Venture adventure when the crew of the Venture takes on a cargo at Triad that is the object of someone else's desire.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Really need to make a not about developing some more Triad material, possibly with a Shadow run flavor of hacking and corporate spying.
